DEF Quantity Test December 2010
The Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Quantity Test will check that the correct amount of DEF fluid is delivered in a certain period
of time. A fault code will normally accompany this procedure.
To run this test:
• The key is ON (key ON, engine OFF).
• The Aftertreatment Control Module (ACM2) must be connected.
• The vehicle air supply tanks must be above 100 psi.
• Ambient temperature ≥ -18°C (0°F).
• DEF temperature ≥ -10°C (14°F).
• DEF tank temperature ≥(-6°C (21°F).
1. Remove nozzle from Aftertreatment Device (ATD). Refer to section "Removal of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid Nozzle"
2. Place the nozzle in the beaker from DEF test kit W060589001900.
3. Turn the ignition ON (key ON, engine OFF).
4. Connect to DDDL/DDRS 7.05 SP1 or greater.
5. From Actions drop-down menu, select SCR, then DEF Quantity Test.
