Optimization of Power System Operation
Description
The Ethernet 10/100Base-T communication module (RWC 0C0000) can be installed in either of
the RightWON’s front panel smart plug-in slots. The RWC 0C0000 provides a LAN connection for
data acquisition and control using an Ethernet enabled device (IED, PLC, serial I/O module). It is
also used for communication with users and remote management of the site (SCADA system,
Internet user or Ethernet provider) using an external copper Ethernet access point. The RWC
0C0000 supports industrial protocols such as DNP3.0, IEC 61850, and Modbus.
Characteristics
The RWC 0C0000 has the following characteristics:
General Features
• Supports Ethernet communications on twisted-pair copper (category 5) at 10 Mbps
(10Base-T) and 100 Mbps (100Base-T)
• Auto MDIX interface
• Multi-protocol support
• RJ-45 connector
• 500 V rms galvanic isolation
Environment
• Operating temperature: -40 °C to +75 °C
• Relative humidity: 5% to 95%, non-condensing
LED display
The RJ-45 connector has two integrated LEDs:
The RWC 0C0000 status is also displayed on the ingress and egress status indicators, as follows:
