General Drafting check points
Description
Are Project specific drafting standards followed?
Is there a Key Plan?
Is Legend shown with all the relevant Information?
Is the print quality clear?
Is nonessential information lightly shaded in the background?
Are the Notes and Disclaimers (“DO NOT USE …”,"THIS DRAWING SUPERSEDES …") shown?
Are Revision numbers and descriptions correct and consistent across all sheets?
Are correct names shown on site plans and elevations/sections ?
Are Elevations dimensioned and labeled correctly?
Are join lines matching and consistent, if applicable?
Are Schematics/Wiring Diagrams shown and labeled correctly? - for reference if any
Are all the relevant drawings referenced?
Are Title block(s) correct and consistent across all sheets?
Are Scales and North Arrows shown on Site Plans and Elevations?

Check All Circuits With Design panel Schedules
Check Electrical Panel Locations With Cable Routing Plan
Connect Fixtures (or Sockets) Circuits To Electrical Panels
Is conduit sizing correct and has a conduit fill check been done? - Calculation table
Are Conductor and Conduit sizes and symbols shown on legends with different color?
Make Ceiling Box For Lighting Fixtures Only
Avoid Text Overlapping
Put Heights for Wall Mounted & Suspended Fixtures, Switches and Sockets
Make Dimension for Fixtures, Sockets, Switches, Pull Boxes, Junction Boxes
and Electrical Outlets
Make Legend for All Lighting Fixtures, Switches, Sockets and Conduits
Make False Ceiling Coordination for Fixtures or Electrical Outlets
For Power HVAC
Verify Mechanical Equipments From Mechanical Shop Drawing Plan
Change Electrical Outlets and Disconnect Switches Locations
Connect Equipments With Disconnect Switches

Containment Shop drawings Check List


Description
Copy and verify trays from Design Drawing to Shop Drawing
Review each Cable Tray Type - Normal, Emergency, Data, PA/VA etc
Are all the cable trays, trunks and accessories shown on legend with different color?
Make Sections for where there is a lot of congestion of trays and tray size change etc
The section name and details should match in the Plan and sections sheet
Draw Section for each tray with actual selected cables for the load
Ensure that tray has 20% of space of future requirements - Cable tray sizing calculation
Make Coordination - all the trays should have the elevation dimensioned and labeled correctly
Verify that the route of the cable tray is completed from the source (panel) to the load
Panel Schedule Check List
Description
Verify Main Circuit Breaker or Isolator Size
Feeding Panel Name and Location
Feeder Reference No, Length, Cross Sectional Area and Type
Distance Between Units and Home Run Length
Voltage Drop % for Each Circuit
Wires, Conduit and Circuit Breaker Sizes for Each Circuit,No. Of Pole and Type of Load
No. of fixtures / sockets connected to each circuit
Type of control (Pushbutton /Sensor /Switch)
Total Connected Power for Each Phase and For All Phases
Make Phase Balance < 10%
Connected Power and Demand Load Power (KVA) For Each Load Type
