FEBRUARY = HEALTH KITS
Cleanliness may not actually be next to
godliness, but it certainly helps a person feel
more human. When families find their homes
destroyed, or must flee for their safety, soap and
a towel rarely make the cut for what they can
carry. Arriving in a refugee camp or other place
of safety, they are scared, vulnerable and dirty
from the travel. The simple items included in a
Personal Care Kit provide much-needed self-
care, critical germ fighting, and the chance to
regain dignity amidst situations of fear and
uncertainty.
Please include in each kit:
1 lightweight bath towel (dark color)
2-3 bathsize bars of soap in original
wrapping
1 adult toothbrush in packaging
1 sturdy comb (remove packaging)
1 metal nail clippers (remove packaging)
Package all things together in the towel, roll up so
nothing falls out and secure with yarn, ribbon, string
or rubber bands. Watch for the washtub in the west
hallway for your donations.
Thrivent Action Team $$$ can be used to
purchase groceries and supplies for
Wednesday Lenten meals. Keep these
fundraisers in mind when using your
funds. 2018 Choice $$$ are still
available to use until March 31.

For any students who feel they are ready to take
First Communion, three sessions will be
available beginning TODAY Sunday, March 17,
and continuing March 24 & 31. All classes will
meet on Sundays @ 9:45 AM in the library.
