Jasmihn worked as a paraprofessional at my school, The Open Classroom, for my grade level
team. She worked with six classrooms; this includes the students, parents and teachers. I have
had the opportunity to watch her manage and teach small groups and whole classes, interact
with parents and students, and effectively problem solve with difficult students.
Jasmihn has a wonderful rapport with people of all ages, especially children. She is firm and sets
high expectations, while offering strategies for student success. She can think on her feet and
adjust conversations and lessons when she realizes it is necessary.
It is clear to me that Jasmihn is and will continue to be devoted to becoming the best kind of
educator. She is as much a learner as a teacher. She is willing to share with colleagues and
capitalize on opportunities to learn from others. She is thoughtful, reflective and committed to
life-long learning and continued development as an educator. She accomplishes tasks with
great initiative and with a very positive attitude.
In the context in which I have had the pleasure of working with Jasmihn she has demonstrated
her thoughtfulness, leadership skills, collaborative abilities, willingness to take risks, and
genuine compassion for children and their individual development. After observing her
performance in the classroom I feel confident Jasmihn will make a significant contribution as an
