Electrical connection
Pressure gauges of type MPS with electro-mechanical contact
devices (standard or magnet contact) are delivered ex factory
with connection cable in the rear wall of the casing and
1m cable length.
Generally all pressure gauges of type M PE and pressure gau
ges with oil filling are delivered with plug connector at the right-
hand side of the casing.
An exception are pressure gauges to be installed in panels,
the plug connector is positioned in the rear wall.

In heating systems with circulating pump operation, the total
excess pressure is normally equal to the hydrostatic pressure
plus the pump pressure.

Technical data magnet spring contact:
nominal insulating voltage: 61 - 300 V
nominal operating voltage: 250 V max.
nominal operating current: starting current respectively breacking current maxi 1.0 A
(continuous current: 0.6 A)
braking capacity: 30 W 50 VA
ambient temperature: -20 up to +60°C, or depending on the corresponding devices
Contact process is non-inductive.
Solenoid spring contacts are used with liquid filled pressure gauges.
2. Inductive limit contacts (I)
Basically the contactlessly working contact device is only used together with a transistor
relay. Depending on the application, control units with fail-safe control circuit (ex-version) or
with not fail-safe control circuit can be used. Principally control units must be installed out-
side the ex-zone. The NAMUR inductive contact works feedback-free, it is wear resistant,
maintenance free, corrosion resistant and meets the highest class of requirements.
Technical data
Voltage: 8 V DC
Current: 8 mA
ambient temperature: -20 up to +60°C, or depending on the corresponding devices
We recommend for liquid filled manometers the use of inductive contact devices. They are
more suitable than standard or magnet spring devices.

Accessories
Stop Valves DIN 16 270-16 272
Application:
Stop and throttle device for pressure measurement instru-
ments to measure gases, vapors, and liquids. Device for zero-
point control and replacement of measurement instrument
while system is operational.
Versions:
• stop valve DIN 16270 without test connection
• stop valve DIN 16270 with test connection
• double stop valves DIN 16272 with separately
lockable test connection
Each with
shape A with clamping sleeve DIN 16283 or
shape B with shaft for measurement unit holder,
with nipple and turning sleeve
Stop valve with optional test connection provide simultaneous MZV22
connection for operating pressure measurement instruments
and test pressure measurement instruments in the pressure
pipe.
The test boss can be blocked off by a sealing pad and a sea-
ling cover, if the valve is designed to DIN 16271. In case of
DIN 16272, a second valve spindle is used for blocking off the
boss.
Stop valves are silicon-free.

Stop Cocks DIN 16 2 6 1 - 1 6 263
Application:
When installing pressure measuring instruments, it is advisab-
le to fit a stop cock between measuring instrument and pipe.
You can use stop cocks for measurement of liquids, gases
and vapors with a set-up of measuring instruments which have
a permissible service excess pressure of PN 25 and a
permissible service temperature of 50°C.
Use stop valves at higher pressure and temperature.
