Greetings!

As a major requirement in the subject Nursing Leadership and Management, the undersigned, fourth year Bachelor
of Science in Nursing Students of San Lorenzo De Ruiz de Manila of Northern Samar, will conduct a seminar with the
theme – “MATTERS OF THE MIND”: A Session on Mental Health Awareness.

The objectives of the seminar are:

1. Identify the common mental health issues that afflicts the younger generation.
2. Recognize the existing stigma that hampers early detection and management of these mental health issues.
3. Identify healthy coping skills and lifestyle choices/ practices that promotes mental health.
4. Strengthen the role of the youth as advocate of mental health.

We believe that Mental Health is one of the most relevant and timely topic to be highlighted; with the increasing
cases of mental illnesses/ disorders, the challenges in mental health promotion brought about by the existing stigma
and the implementation of the newly enacted Mental Health Law.

In this regards, we would like to invite you to be one of our Guest Speakers for the said event to share your
knowledge and expertise to all the invited students from different schools in Northern Samar.

The seminar will be held on February 22, 2019, 1:00PM at Our Lady of Annunciation Cathedral, Annex Hall, Catarman,
Northern Samar.
