Material cost:
1. Tile;
a) Tiles = 800 pieces
b) Waste (5%) = 40 pieces
Cost of tiles = 840 pieces x RM1.60/ piece = RM 1344.00

2. Cement;
a) vol. of cement = 0.25 x 0.25 x 0.015 = 0.0009375 m3/piece
Total vol. of cement = 800 pieces x 0.0009375 m3/piece= 0.75 m3
Cost of cement = (0.75 m3x28bag/m3) x RM14.00/bag = RM 294.00

Cost of cement for fixing 1 piece heavy duty tile

= RM294/ 800 = RM 0.37

Labour cost:

1. Workers;
a) Skilled workers = 2 x RM 90.00 = RM 180.00
b) Unskilled workers = 3 x RM 50.00 = RM 150.00
Total labour cost = RM 330.00

Labour cost for fixing 800 pieces HDT = (2 days x RM330)

= RM 660.00
Labour cost for fixing 1 piece HDT = (2 days x RM330)/800
= RM 0.83

Cost of fixing 1 piece HDT and 15% profit

= (RM1.60+RM0.37+ RM 0.83) x1.15
= RM 2.80 x 1.15
= RM 3.22

Total cost of proposed project and 15% profit

= (RM 1344.00 + RM 294+ RM 660) x 1.15
