Dear Mr. Mercado:

It’s my absolute pleasure to recommend Ms. Carla V. Perez as she pursues an art teaching position
with Padre Garcia Central School. As the principal of Padre Garcia Central School I’ve enjoyed
having Ms. Perez on the teaching team for grades 4 through 6. We’ll all miss her and her
contributions to our school community.

Unfortunately, budgetary restrictions have forced us to reduce the art teaching faculty, and as the
most recent hire, Ms. Perez will no longer have a position with us next year. This decision in no
way reflects on her skills, and I wholeheartedly endorse her candidacy as she seeks a position
elsewhere. It’s my wish that she finds a school with the resources to support her talent for teaching
art.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with Ms. Perez, and came to know her as a truly valuable
asset to absolutely any team. She is honest, dependable, and incredibly hard-working.
Her knowledge of art and expertise in Music was a huge advantage to our entire office. She put
this skillset to work in order to be 1st place Winner in the 2016 District Press Conference.

Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Ms. Perez to join your team at Bawi Elementary School.
As a dedicated and knowledgeable employee and an all-around great person, I know that she will
be a beneficial addition to your organization.
