For and on behalf of Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority sealed Tenders are
invited for the following work by the Superintending Engineer, Circle-II, Construction Wing,
Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority at his Office at 9th floor, CMDA Tower-II,
No.1A, Gandhi Irwin Road, Egmore, Chennai 600 008.

1. Tender documents can be down loaded from Web Site www.tenders.tn.gov.in from
23.8.2018 to 26.09.2018 upto 4.00 pm. No costs towards such down loaded tender
schedules shall be remitted. The tenderers who have downloaded the tender documents
shall be solely responsible for checking the website for any addendum/amendment issued
subsequently to the tender document upto 26.09.2018 at 4.00 pm. and take into
consideration the same while preparing and submitting the tender. (On line submission of
Tenders has not started yet).
2. Pre-bid meeting will be held on 14.09.2018 at 3.30 p.m. at office of the Superintending
Engineer, Circle-II, CW, CMDA, Tower-II, 9th Floor, No.1A, Gandhi Irwin Road, Egmore,
Chennai-8.
3. The sealed tender will be received up to 3.00 pm on 28.09.2018 at office of the
Superintending Engineer, Circle-II, CW, CMDA, Tower-II, 9th Floor, No.1A, Gandhi Irwin
Road, Egmore, Chennai-8 and the same will be opened on the same day at 3.30 pm at,
Main Conference Hall in 3rd floor, CMDA, Tower-I, T.N. Building No.1, Gandhi Irvin
Road, Egmore, Chennai-8
4. All the other details such as eligibility criteria and details of tender schedules etc. are
available in the Web Site www.tenders.tn.gov.in.
5. If the date of opening of tenders happen to be a public holiday, tenders will be received and
opened on the next working day at the same venue and time.

 ELIGIBILITY CRIETERIA
1) The TENDERER should be a well-established and reputed registered contractor in any
State/Central Govt. Departments/Govt. undertakings / Boards under Class-I with
Monetary limit above Rs. 75.00 lakhs with EA License and registered as a legal entity in
India for a minimum period of five years, and having experience of minimum five years
and capacity in the construction of RCC Framed Structure building and its associated
works.

2) The tenderer should have executed and completed similar nature of work mentioned as
below :
The tenderer should have satisfactorily completed works as mentioned below in any one
of the preceding five years ending 31st March 2018.

(i) Three Similar completed works each costing not less than Rs.100.00
crores

(Similar work shall mean that one of the projects shall be a public building with all
infrastructure under one single contract and one of the projects shall be concrete
paved roads or Concrete Drains executed under one single contract)
(or)

(ii) Two similar completed works each costing not less than Rs.125.00 crores.

(Similar work shall mean that one of the projects shall be a public building with all
infrastructure under one single contract and one of the projects shall be concrete
paved roads or Concrete Drains executed under one single contract)

(or)
(iii) One similar completed work costing not less than Rs.155.00 crores.

(Similar work shall mean that the project shall be public building including all
infrastructures with concrete paved roads executed under one single contract).
(i)

Any project submitted against this criteria has to be for any State/Central Govt.
Departments/Govt. undertakings / Boards during last Five years ending 31st March,
2018.

3. The Annual Turnover of the applicant should not be less than Rs.465.00 Crores (Rupees
Four Sixty Five crores only) in any one of the preceding five years (i.e. from April 2013
to March 2018).

4. The tenderer should furnish the latest Income Tax Return / SARAL, GST Certificate,
Registration as a contractor with EA License certificate and Annual Turnover etc., in
order to be eligible to participate in this tender.

5. The tenderer must not have been debarred or black listed by any of the Central / State
Government Departments / Government Undertakings.
 PARTICULARS ABOUT TENDER

1. The tender document and other particulars can be had from the O/o Executive Engineer,
Construction Wing, Division-I, CMDA., Tower-II, 9th floor, No.1A, Gandhi Irwin Road,
Egmore, Chennai 600 008 on requisition in writing with necessary attested copies of
certificates in support of their registration as Contractor, experience certificate, latest
Income tax, GST Registration Certificate etc., and on payment of the cost in cash / Demand
Draft as indicated in Column No.5 above (non-refundable) on all working days from
23.08.2018 to 26.09.2018 upto 4.00pm.

2. The tender Document can be down loaded from the Web Site www.tenders.tn.gov.in from
23.08.2018 to 26.09.2018 upto 4.00pm. No cost towards such down loaded tender forms
shall be remitted.

3. The tender schedule will be received up to 3.00 pm on 28.09.2018 at office of the

Superintending Engineer, Circle-II, CW, CMDA, Tower-II, 9th Floor, No.1A, Gandhi Irwin
Road, Egmore, Chennai-8 and the same will be opened on the same day at 3.30 pm at Main
Conference Hall, 3rd floor, CMDA, Tower-I, Thalamuthu Natarajan Maaligai, No.1, Gandhi
Irwin Road, Egmore, Chennai-8.

4. On behalf of CMDA, the Superintending Engineer, Circle-II, CW, CMDA, Chennai-8

reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders received without assigning any reason there
for and drop the proposal.

5. Submission of tenders through telegraph, by speed post, courier etc., will not be considered.
