Relevance of business

in creating a civilised
society
Business ethics form the backbone
of a good business. Good businesses
in turn drive progress and ideally,
build a good society. It has to be the
other way around. When you have
an ethical and moral society, the
business will reflect these core
values. Business is not focused on
providing value to the society. At its
best, the business should not harm
the society and undermine its
values. Business is one of society
manifestations but it has no social
value whatsoever because the main
goal of business is maintaining the
business and making money. The
society in which the business
functions, should create a
framework that will regulate the
business and make sure that it acts
according to society values. If it is a
fair and honest society, then the
business should be fair and honest
as well and will act in a fair and
honest framework. It is the
responsibility of the people and the
government they construct and
elect to force business to act this
way.
