Student Response and Assessment Tools
Briefly describe what will happen DURING the SRT activity: Students will use internet connected devices
to access Socrative, either on the app or through a browser. Students will then complete the quiz.

Type of questions/prompts used in this activity (check all that apply):

☒ Multiple choice ☒ Multiple select ☒ True/False ☐ Yes/No
☐ Short open-ended response or fill-in the blank ☒ Longer open-ended response

Right/Wrong answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions?

☒ Yes ☐ No
☐ Mixed (Some will have correct answers, other will not.)
Immediate corrective feedback: Will you pre-select correct answers to some of all of the questions and
display correct response to the class after the SRT activity?
☐ Yes
☒ No
Why or why not?
This will be a quiz, and by not sharing immediate feedback, this will prevent students looking at other
students’ screens looking for answers. I will show the correct answers after everyone has finished their quiz
Describe what will happen AFTER the SRT activity?
Students will listen as I review the answers with them. They will also be able to ask questions on content
they were confused on.

How will the data be used?

Students will show me how effective my materials and my teaching were on student learning. It will also
tell me if students were actually learning the material presented and not being distracted. The score they
receive with this quiz can be used to grade their performance on the standard. I can use whole class
anonomis data to discuss questions that a majority of students missed. If there is a demographic (i.e. ESOL,
IEP, ETC.) that did poorly, I will use that data to differentiate my content and my assessment.

Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. My goal is that students who take this exam will show
me that they learned things from my lessons and activities.

Reflective Practice: I could make this quiz longer with more open-ended responses. I could also see if
Socrative has a way where students can match answers to different prompts. All in all, Socrative is a great
assessment method.
