This is the most basic information that I have evaluated about Fort Lewis College. The information
that was given was very general. Some of the stories of the previous students that have attended and
completed their education at Fort Lewis College this intuition is very outstanding in many aspects. The
location of the campus as well as the beauty surrounding Fort Lewis College on of Colorado’s top 50
College intuitions. Having to be able to attend a community college that offers a verity of Programs as
well as Sports makes Fort Lewis College a wonderful choice in the Four Corners. In my elevation I did not
indicate that this intuition does not offer a Nursing nor any major Medial Programs. The types of
programs that I was indicating would be Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational
Therapy, Medical Assistant and Optometrist etc. These are the most common Medical Programs that
are offered at many community colleges. Over all if a future students is planning to peruse his or her
career in the Medical field would only get minimal education. The bright side of these programs is that
that are offered online at Fort Lewis. An Academic Advisor would have more knowledge on those type
of programs.
TUITION

• Tuition $55 per credit hour

A basic background on, it was Diné College was established in 1968 as the first tribally-
controlled community college in the United States. In creating an institution of higher education,
the Navajo Nation sought to encourage Navajo youth to become contributing members of the
Navajo Nation and the world society. Under the direction of an eight-member Board of Regents
confirmed by the Government Services Committee of the Navajo Nation Council, the College
serves residents of the 26,000 square mile Navajo Nation, which spans the states of Arizona,
New Mexico, and Utah. As a postsecondary educational institution, Diné College awards
associate degrees and certificates in areas important to the economic and social development
of the Navajo Nation. Dine College was first known as NCC “Navajo Community College”, until
the charge of the intuitions name. Dine College got it name as ‘Children of the Holy People’
meaning students are children of educational success.
The instanton is recognized by the Higher Learning Commission. This tribal college also
ties it philosophy in Dine teachings, tradition and language. The Campus are located in the most
remote areas of The Navajo Nation making the opportunity to residents of The Navajo Nation to
receive a college education. Having to be born and raised on the Navajo Nation Reservation
makes receiving a college education a bit challenging. Dine College has two locations in New
Mexico, Shiprock and Crownpoint, NM. The four campus that are located in Arizona are in the
most popular main towns on the reservation. These towns are Chinle, Window Rock, Tuba City
and Tsali ,AZ The main campus is located in Tseli AZ . Dine College does offer dorms and
housing for students that qualify for the program. Having to live on campus at an affordable
price makes Dine College one of the Navajo Nation top college institution on the reservation.
The beauty of the Navajo Nation and it scenery give Dine College the most profound tribal
colleges in the southwest. The vast deserts of the Navajo Nation as well as it breath taking
mountains give Dine College its roots to the Navajo culture and heritage.

make Dine College an academic institution by the Higher Learning Commission. This is just
some of the basic information that I found the website. An Academic Advisor is also available by

director of San Juan College Student Activities that it is possibility that San Juan College does not have
the funding to cover sports. The second hypnotized conclusio0n was that students in this region don’t
engage in sports as other college intuitions. I have asked several departments and have not gotten
proper answer.

Conclusion

This is the most basic information that has found regarding the local college intuitions in the
Four Corners area. I personally think that every college intuition is a wonderful learning environment.
Makin the decision to continue and further your education beyond high school is a best decision any
individual could make .Parents do wish and hope for their Childs future to be filled with knowledge and
success. I would agree also, so choosing the best college intuition to further your success isn’t always
easy. Most of students like me don’t like to travel very far and to be away from home to attend school. I
love my hometown and the Four Corners so my decision to attend San Juan College wasn’t personal. It
was the only intuition that offered my field of study. I did have options but for the time being San Juan
College is the place I well be receiving my degree.

For all future students I do encourage you to go with how you feel about the college intuition
that you choose. That the first step of making adult chooses, you may feel comfortable on the
reservation, in the mountains of southwest Colorado or the deserts of Arizona. The main key is
completing your college education an fathering your lives as successful adults. In conclusion, this
opportunity is only within you and no one else can make this life changing decisions but yourself.
