Regular Reminders:

 Check out our school blog at: https://westwoodschool.weebly.com/ or http://bit.ly/WWSchool

 Pink Sheets - We require all the pink sheets be updated and returned to school, regardless of
whether or not changes were made. If you have not received your pink sheet, please contact
the school secretary.
 Report Cards – Please go online to read your child’s report card. If you are having trouble
accessing Parent Connect, we urge you to contact Lori in the main office for support.
 Parking Lot: The main parking lot is for staff only, as well as for those transporting children with
special needs. Please use drop-off zones and the loop ONLY! Children should not be running
through the parking lot and that they must be reminded to look for on-coming traffic when on
our busy streets.
 We are a “Nut Aware” school. We do have children with severe nut allergies. Please keep that in
mind when sending food to school with your child.
 If students are staying for lunch, please send to school with child in the morning, phone calls
home for lunches are generally not permitted. We also ask that you do not send lunches that
require heating.
 Cyber Safety - Be aware of what your young people are watching; have them use the internet in
a common space. Have a conversation with young people about what to do if they do come
across upsetting content online. Let your child know that they can come to you when they find
something upsetting and they won’t get in trouble. Remember some upsetting content can
come as a pop up in games or even on videos which were created for children. If you or your
child comes across this type of content, report it to the platform that it’s on. If your child is
expressing any concerning feelings, you may want to follow up with mental health services for
support.
 Please check your child(ren)’s hair regularly for head lice. You are welcome to call Public Health
if you have any questions or concerns.
 Children must be dressed appropriately for all outdoor activities.
 Save and turn in your Tabs for Wheelchairs.

Thank you for helping us to make Westwood School a GREAT PLACE TO GROW!
