INTRODUCTION

According to DepEd secretary Leonor briones, the work immersion is a key feature in senior
high student curriculum. It can coordinate in different ways depending on the purpose and needs of the
learners.

The word "immersion" as it applies to the k to 12 curriculums is defined in the department of


education (DepEd) order no. 40, series 2015.

Immersion is done outside the school campus is a workplace. Immersion venue ' defined as the
place where work immersion of student is done. Example of work Immersion venue include offices,
factories and project sites.

Work Immersion is one of the course requirements for graduation . A Senior high school student
has to undergo work immersion is an industry that directly related to student's post secondary goal.
Through work immersion , the students are exposed to and become familiar with work-related
environment related to their field of specialization to enhance their competence. Specially the student
are able to: (i) gain relevant and practical industrial skill under the guidance of industry experts and
workers; (ii) appreciate the important ang application of the principles and theories taught in school; (iii)
enhance their technical knowledge and skills; (iv) enrich their skills in communication and human
relations and; (v) develop good work habits attitude, appreciation and respect for work . This prepare
them to meet the needs and challenges of employment or higher education after graduation.
