Operations:
At Pepsi Co.’ Sundar plant, varieties of crisps and snacks like kurkure lays and wavy are
produced. The plant is solely made for producing snacks while the beverages are handled
and manufactured elsewhere.
Through the process of procurement of potatoes to finally packing the crisps and their
distribution to the market, every step is done efficiently and with utmost care to abide by
the standards and operation protocols. They have the latest technological advancements
including state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.

System usage and Implementation:

The systems being used at Pepsi Co. consist of ERP and Information System. With the
information system, they handle the business challenges, supervise human resource data,
examine the framework of the company, implement new technology and lastly deal with
and resolve the challenges faced.

System benefits:
Their system is most updated and efficient with respect to solving and mitigating any
possible issues and problems faced. They also have proper contingency plans that are on
standby at all times. Though, their system lacks any visible loopholes but if somehow an
accident does happen, they have all the means to address the problem. The use of
information system means there will be ‘little to no’ chances of any mishap and that
everything will be monitored and overseen.

Process Re-engineering:
The management decides what to re-engineer based on the response from the
consumers who are consuming the products made by Pepsi Co... If there are queries
and reservations regarding a product, amendments are made to overcome the
complaints and the particular product is re-engineered so as to meet the demand and
relevant needs of the consumers.
