1. Survey of the current price of lower end notebook computers reveals mean and standard
deviation of the computer price as RM1,750 and RM115, respectively. Based on this
information, calculate:
a. The probabilities of notebook price:
i. Less than RM1,500
ii. Between RM1,600 to RM1,700
iii. More than RM1,550
b. The price of the highest 15% of the notebook computers
c. The price of the 90% confident interval of the notebook computers

2. The mean and standard deviation of domestic water bill among 250 residents were
RM25.50 and RM5.30, respectively. Use this data to respond to the following questions:
a. What are the probabilities of water bills
i. More than RM35.00?
ii. Less than RM20.00?
iii. Between RM25.00 and RM40.00?
b. How many residents pay more than RM30.00?
c. What is the amount for the 95% confident interval of the bills?

3. Table 1 displays mean and standard deviation scores for five selected subjects (biology,
chemistry, physic, mathematics and English) in the final examinations.
