management to geology. The goal of a proposal is to gain support for your plan by
informing the appropriate people. Your ideas or suggestions are more likely to be approved
if you can communicate them in a clear, concise, engaging manner. Knowing how to write a
persuasive, captivating proposal is essential for success

The Project Initiation Phase is the 1st phase in the Project Management Life Cycle, as it
involves starting up a new project. You can start a new project by defining its objectives,
scope, purpose and deliverables to be produced. You'll also hire your project team, setup
the Project Office and review the project, to gain approval to begin the next phase.

The outcome of the Project Initiation phase is generally one of two documents (or
sometimes both!): the Project Initiation Document (PID) and the Statement of Work (SoW).
A good way to focus on your Project Initiation and to really drill down on what you need to
outline for your project and for one of these two documents is to work through it in terms
of three areas: People, Processes and Product. These are center of any project.
