BE LA SALLE-C@LLEGE @F SAINT BENILDI GRADUATION HONORS CRITERIA Baise For Students admitted starting SY 2012-2013 and below Student Handbook 2010-2013 For Students admitted starting SY 2013-2014 onwards Student Handbook 2013-2016 Section 4 [Section # 42 Graduation Honors 4.2.1 Students who have maintained required academic | standards may be recommended by the Honors and ‘Awards Committee for graduation honors of Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Gum Laude, and Honorable Mention. | 42.2 The folowing erteria shall appiy in order to graduate with Honors: ‘42.2.4 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3,000 and above. The CGPA of graduating students refer to courses taken in DLS-CSB and institutions where courses are taken in consortium with the College. ‘The following CGPA requirements apply: Honors cGPA ‘Summa Cum Laude 3.800-4,000 Magna Cum Laude 3.600-3.799 Cum Laude 3,400-3,699 Honorable Mention 3,000-3.399, A222 At least eighty percent (80%) of the total credits toward the degree should have been earned in residence at DLS-CSB. 4.2 Graduation Honors 4.2.1 Students who have maintained the required academic standards may be recommended by the Honors and Awards Commitee for graduation honors of ‘Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, Cum Laude, and Honorable Mention, | 4.2.2 The following criteria shall apply in order to graduate with Honors: 4.2.2.4 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.000 and above. The CGPA of graduating students | refer to courses taken in DLS-CSB and institutions | where courses are taken in consortium with the College. For students admitted starting SY 2009-2010 and below, students shall be disqualified from graduating with Latin Honors (Summa ‘Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude) if they have received a failing mark or a failing grade in any course, whether academic or non-academic. “42.2.5 should not have exceeded the maximum allowable number of official course withdrawals during the entire stay in the College and in the case of transferees, in previous schoo's attended. “42.2.4, No failing grade in any course taken either in DLS-CSB or in previous schools for students admitted starting SY 2010-2011 and onwards. 4.22.8 Students admitted SY 2009-2010 and earlier shall be disqualified from graduating with Latin Honors (Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum laude, and Cum Laude) if they have received a grade of R in any course, whether academic or non-academic, 42.2.8 Should not have exceeded the maximum allowable number of official course withdrawals during the entire stay in the College and in the case of transferees, in previous schools attended. Graduating students who best embody the ideals of St. John Baptist de La Salle and St, Benilde Romancon through excellence in academics, leadership and service are glven recognition during the Commencement Exercises ofthe College “4.3.1 Overview of the Awards 4.3.1.4 Student Leadership Award (Leadership and Academics) This is given to students who ably balance their academic studies with student activities, This award recognizes those who have rendered exemplary service to the College and to the student body through active leadership in any recognized student organizations! student group. 43.4 Overview of the Awards 4.3.1.4 Br. Andrew Gonzalez Leadership Award This is given to students who are academically excellent, have rendered exemplary service, and made a positive impact through active involvement and leadership in recognized student groups in the College and the student body. (3.1.3 Benildean Athlete Award (Athletics and Academics) ‘This award honors the student-athletes who have consistently rendered outstanding performance in competition as true Benildean sportspersons. 43.1.3 Br, Rolando Dizon Athletic Award This is given to students who are academically excellent and have rendered exemplary performance as a Benildean-Lasallian athlete, ‘Qualifications 2) CGPA of at least 2.5 with no falling marks: ‘Qualifications a) CGPA of at least 3.0 with no failing marks.
