Safety Considerations:
· Always lock out motor.
· Never run without sieve frames and trays.
· Don’t start without warning.

Problems and Possible Causes:

s Leaking or Dusting-Out:

a Sieve frames not tightened.


a Connecting socks damaged or improperly installed.
a Improper sieve alignment.
a Sieve frame damaged.

s No Overs:

a Broken or damaged screen.


a Sieves turned wrong or improperly installed.

s Excessive Overs (Overs Contain Too Much Product):

a Load to sifter or product changed.


a Screens blinded.
a Screens too loose.
a Sieves turned wrong or improperly installed.

s Sifter Backs Up and Chokes the System:

a Sieves turned wrong or improperly installed.


a Screens blinded.
a Cleaners worn out.
a Change in sifter load.
a Failing system after the sifter.

s Pneumatic Clamping System Not Functioning (If Installed):

a Build up of material on upper eccentric.


a Pneumatic set collars improperly adjusted.
a Inadequate air pressure.
a Ruptured air line.
a Faulty cylinder.

s Rack and Pinion Clamping System Not Functioning (If Installed):

a Excessive pinion slippage (often makes a popping noise). Can be caused by either a deformation of the
wooden press-top or a worn rack and/or pinion.
a Collar digs into chrome plate. Spring and/or ball may need to be replaced.
