2. EWB (Engineers Without Borders)

EWB is an International association giving our students a platform to display their technical potential in the
projects benefitting the society such sanitation, water purification solar accessories such as lighting, desalination
of sea water etc. Engineers Without Borders has its roots in 66 countries globally. EWB is a non-profit
organization working on the urgent concern for accelerating sustainable rural development, assisting in capacity
building for backward communities of India, working across national boundaries for the social and economic
justice by the responsible use of technology.
It builds a network of Engineering students and professionals to offer a sustainable solution in the areas of Water,
Sanitation, Energy, Health and Education so that the quality of life for the common people is improved.
EWB works with a vision to nurture and motivate young students and professionals to undertake real life
sustainable social projects and offer the best solution to it.
MVJCE has a privilege of having inaugurated the first of its kind of EWB student chapter in Karnataka on
06.02.2016. Mechanical Engineering has made a remarkable contribution with three projects working in cutting
edge technology and they are intended for the social cause.
