Rules and Regulation

• Male and Female 100m

◦ Minimum 2 participants and Max 4 (4 girls and 4 boys) participants from each parish
◦ 6 at a time would participate in the heats and 2 from each group would go to the finals
◦ Need to make 8 tracks

• Male and Female 4 x 100m relay

◦ 1 team from each parish
◦ Batons to be provided
◦ Baton falls, they could lift it and run

• Sack Race – male

◦ Minimum 2 participants and Max 4 from each parish
◦ Sacks to be provided
◦ Would be a 50 m race

• 3-legged race – female

◦ Maximum 2 pairs and minimum 1 pair from a parish
◦ Need to tie the legs with a dupatta. Please bring your own.
◦ The participants are free to tie the knots
◦ If the knot loosens up or the legs are separated, the participants would be disqualified.
◦ Would be a 50 m race

• Cricket
◦ Box type under-arm cricket
◦ 5 overs an innings
◦ 7+2 players
◦ 1st over would be powerplay
▪ max 5 players on the field including the keeper and bowler
▪ only 1 player behind the bowler
◦ Only 1 bowler bowls 2 overs max
◦ Bowling hand can't swing or bend, can swing and throw the bowl keeping the arm close to
the body.
◦ Bowler can't touch the crease. No ball declared if it touches
◦ 4 overs need to be medium paced. Fast bowls would be decided and penalized according to
the referees discretion.
◦ 1 over is a freestyle over, as in pace bowls allowed and no restrictions on hand movements.
◦ 1 run declared : outside the box behind the keeper; outside the box before the bowlers
stumps
◦ 2 runs declared : after the bowlers stump and before the boundary line
◦ 4 runs declared straight outside the box
◦ Run can be taken on overthrows
◦ There would be a no-ball line at the center of the pitch
◦ Ball would be counted if a wicket is taken on a wide or a no ball
 • Throwball
◦ 6+2 players
◦ Ball shouldn't touch the body
◦ Throwing shouldn't be done using both the hands. Only 1 hand
◦ Best of 3 sets (11 pts each)
◦ Point counted on service break
◦ Service
▪ Should be after the whistle
▪ Shouldn't touch the base line
◦ Players shouldn't touch the net
◦ Player should release the ball within 3 secs
◦ The ball can be passed around for max 3 times in a court. The 3rd person need to throw the
ball to the opposite court.
◦ Once you catch the ball, the player need to release the ball without taking any steps
forward/backward.

• Kho Kho
◦ 7 players
◦ 7 mins playtime
◦ Team with the max defenders out within 7 mins loses
◦ Defenders enter the limit, in batches of 3-2-2
◦ 2 mins timeout

• Soccer
◦ 8 + 4 players
◦ 15 mins half
◦ Usual soccer rules
◦ 2 mins timeout after the 1st half
◦ Every game would be decided using penalty shoot outs.
◦ Red cards would mean the player is out for the current game
◦ Yellow card would call for suspension of the player for 2 mins

• Tug – of – War
◦ 7 member team for boys and girls

ALL DECISIONS TAKEN BY THE REFEREES WOULD BE THE FINAL DECISION.
