The Process of Review of Related

Literature

It is the curiosity about a person or a thing that you want to know more about. To get
a full of view of knowledge or understanding of the center of your attention. So from
the start up to the end of your research you are phone to searching answers to many
things that you are curious about. It is the process of collecting information.

 STAGE 1
You are looking for the sources of knowledge, data, or information to
answer your research questions or to support about your topic.

Three Basic Types of Literature Sources

1. General References – Direct to the location of other sources.

2. Primary Sources- all sources are original information.

3. Secondary Sources- Second-hand data information or non-original.

Research summaries reported in textbook, magazine and newspapers are the
secondary sources.

 STAGE 2
You need to understand the sources of your knowledge with your HOTS. You need
to interpret it through inferential thinking, predicting, generalizing, concluding and
assuming. Reading does not only make you list down ideas but it also permits you to
modify and construct your ideas based on a certain principle, theory, pattern, method
and theme underlying your research.

 STAGE 3
In writing the Review it is an overall understanding of the material by
paraphrasing or summarizing.
