CyberSAFE CHALLENGE TROPHY 2019

QUALIFYING SUBMISSION AND SELECTION CRITERIA

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. One school is only allowed to submit one (1) entry.
2. Each team comprises of four (4) main members and one(1) reserve.
3. Submissions must include presentations from all the registered members of the
team (main and reserve).
• Only registered members will be eligible for NICTSeD 2019.
4. Upon qualification for NICTSeD 2019, only the four (4) main team members will be
invited to participate in the national level competition.
• In the event that one (1) of the main team members is unable to attend the
national level competition, the registered reserve member may replace.
5. Team members can be any student of Form 1 to Form 5, from the same school.
• The qualifying team is NOT allowed to change the registered team members.
6. The school with the best submission will be selected to represent their state.
7. If the selected school pulls out, the runner-up would represent.
8. The selected school MUST confirm their participation within 14 days once the
results are announced.
9. The title for the qualifying submission is:
“Cyber Wellness: Digital Health & Etiquette. How can students contribute to
cyber wellness in their community?”
10. Submission must be in the form of:
10.1 Video:
i. Link to the uploaded video in YouTube
ii. Video presentation: Maximum six (6) minutes.
iii. Each of the five (5) members of the team MUST speak for at least
one (1) minute. (Main team members and reserve.)
iv. Teams are required to set the Privacy option of the video to
"UNLISTED" prior to uploading the video on YouTube.
10.2 Powerpoint slides:
i. File format: PDF
ii. Limited to five (5) slides including title
11. File naming shall be as follows: e.g SUBMISSIONFILE_SCHOOLCODE_SCHOOLNAME
i. Powerpoint Slides – e.g PPT_ABC123_SMKSAFE
ii. Video Link – e.g VID_ABC123_SMKSAFE

12. Period of submission starts from 12.00 am on 19thMarch until11.59 pm on

30thApril, 2019. All submissions after the deadline will be disqualified.

13. Submissions must be made through respective link www.cybersafe.my/nictsed/

14. Submission MUST be original, copyrighted materials are PROHIBITED
Note: teams are reminded that
• the content of their submission carries a 40% weight in the selection process
• there must be a link between the content of the powerpoint & video
presentation
15. Jurors’ decision is FINAL. No appeal will be entertained.
16. The teams which qualify for NICTSeD 2019 will be announced through CyberSAFE
Instagram (IG: cybersafe) on 31st May 2019.
17. Qualified teams will be contacted through a formal invitation letter.
18. Qualified teams will compete in NICTSeD 2019 preliminary rounds in Kuantan,
Pahang. (13th July to 19th July 2019).
19. The Grand Finals will be held in Kuala Lumpur in September, 2019.
20. By submitting, the team has agreed to our terms and conditions.
21. CyberSecurity Malaysia reserves the right to change the terms and conditions
for this competition without prior notice.
