TITLE: The Annul Appraisal Scheme Review– draft

INTRODUCTION

The Annual Appraisal Scheme Review was set up last year to improve the relationships between
employees, to create more effective communication and to give the staff the motivation that they
need. We planned a review of the scheme after one year.

PROCEDURE

The Appraisal interviews was done in December by Line Manager. Among the questions
addressed to the staff, the Line Manager asked them for their feedback on The Scheme.

FINDINGS

The feedback was mostly positive. The main criticisms of The Scheme were related to: the short
time and the reduced duration for interviews (just 45 minutes) and the lack of “objective
measurement of performance”.

CONCLUSIONS

In conclusion, The Annual Appraisal Interview should be maintained, but with minor
modifications, as suggested by the employees.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The most important recommendations referred to:


1. The development of more objective performance indicators – Fred Berger from
HR will report back in January
2. The final approval of the Boards of Directors.
