In 1948, David Ogilvy founded the agency that would become Ogilvy & Mather. Starting with
no clients and only two of staff, he built his company into one of the eight largest advertising
networks in the world. In 1989 WPP plc, acquired Ogilvy Group for $864, and finally in June
2018, CEO John Seifert, changed its name from Ogilvy & Mather to Ogilvy. Ogilvy offers an
extensive range of marketing services beyond advertising, they are having established a
collection of partner groups which are Ogilvy One (Consulting), healthcare specialist Ogilvy
CommonHealth, PR agency Ogilvy Public Relations and others.
