SENSOR BASED MATERIAL LOADING AND

UNLOADING SYSTEM FOR DIFFERENT

SECTIONS

SYNOPSIS

In this project we fabricate the sensor based material loading and

unloading system for different sections. In this project we use material

handler to move material for loading or unloading from one place to another.

Proximity Sensor, DC Motor, Wheel, pneumatic cylinder, and Material

handling vehicle are the main blocks in this project.


BLOCK DIAGRAM

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Here we use proximity sensor to move the material handling vehicle

for required place. In that vehicle can be stopped at the required station

through Proximity sensor output. The signal will be given in this form for

the three position (1, 1), (0, 1) and (1, 0) receives the signal. A motor is

attached with the vehicle wheel for moving purpose. The motor gets power

through control unit. The vehicle has a material handling arrangement for

handling the material and the materials are unloaded with help of pneumatic

cylinder which is mounted at the bottom of the material handler with help of
hinge support. The proximity sensor detects the positioning plate and gives

the output signal to the control unit and it activates the relay. The motor runs

when the relay is on. When the vehicle reaches a particular place the reader

detects and material is unloaded with help of pneumatic cylinder.

Initial investment cost is high.

APPLICATIONS

It is applicable in industries for material loading and unloading

system.
