Doing Now.
A Hot Seat, an amazing host, the most intelligent computer ji and more intelligent
contestants. Yeah, that’s KBC we are talking about. Its been fourteen years, this
show has changed the way we look at a television program. Contestants comes
with many goals and aims, being so into problems and the KBC have seen heart
wrenching stories.
It was first telecasted in the year 2000, with Amitabh Bachhan as it’s host. People
loved both the show and Amitabh then. And soon it became a very big show in
television. All the audience used to sit in front of the small screen and answer the
questions that were asked big b. The show offers a total prize money of 1 crore
rupees to the winning contestants. The show has changed the lives of the winners
forever.

Everyone one of us had the dream of sitting in the hot seat at least for a while. But
personally, never have the courage to dial up the numbers and send the answer.
We all remember the first and foremost winner of KBC. He is none other than
Harshvardhan Nawathe a 27-year-old aspirant from Mumbai. KBC made him an
overnight star. He won the prize money the year 2000, and then his life changed
forever. He always says that he never dreamt of even participating in a show like
KBC.
Well, here is what he is doing now.
Harshvardhan’s father was in IPS and Harshvardhan himself is preparing for the civil
services at the time, when he appeared in the show in 2000. In fact, he is the first
ever participant to win a dazzling amount from TV at the age of 27. He, at once
made the world towards India at that time.
In some of the recent interviews he exposed his life after KBC. He said “Can you
believe it, I was given police protection, was being mobbed on the road and people
would just run over me for the autographs. It was a big-time party for me. I started
meeting a lot of big people and started socializing. I had lived a life of a superstar
for a year. But yes, this stardom came with a limited life shelf”
Recalling the moments, he said that he has got a lot of name and fame, because, of
which he couldn’t take his civils exams and added, “I lost my focus and didn’t take
the civil services’ exam. After getting so much of fame and it was time for me to
return to regular life. It took efforts, but I managed to balance it.”
Harshvardhan said that he used the prize money for his education and for further
in doing an MBA from a university in Edinburgh, in UK. He brought a car and a house
in Mumbai with the prize money. He is now married to Sarika Nawathe and he is a
father of two children. He worked for Mahindra & Mahindra, currently working in
a Dutch based recruitment company as a non-executive director and is living a
regular corporate life.
