NARRATIVE REPORT ON WORK IMMERSION EXPERIENCES

Chapter 1 – Preliminaries

I have prepared for the immersion is to have better communication to other people

reading their body movement to know the mood of that person. How to create

professional emails to jobs and having a separate account for business that can't miss

emails. Learning how to make a memos resume and cover letter can boost your

efficiency and knowing, learning the basics of the job interview and can be used in the

feature.

We have been oriented how a workplace affects you and having us tested in a mock

interview for the feature job interviews on to do with the before and after the interview

and not to do in the interview

Chapter 2 – Expectation About the Workplace

I expect my workplace to having physical working conditions that are safe, not injurious

to health, not stressful, and even comfortable. Having benefits that meet one's needs

and compare well with those of others. Expecting to have a good policy and

procedures in the workplace and having a good and trustworthy coworker who have

competent, congenial and treat others with dignity and respect at all times. Having a

good working hour that allows one enough time to pursue other strong interests. And

have a supervisor who is fair, competent and considerate at their position or job.
Chapter 3 – Narrative Experience During My Work Immersion Phase

November 14

It was November 14 that I have started my immersion at my school because the

company are late to answer the request of the when the company answered back they

need college student for their immersion not senior high students.

Now that I have lost tract of about the subject and now this is my experience about the

immersion. For the first day I have assigned to work two ways morning at the office of

senior high school and the afternoon at the clinic in our school.

And I don’t why I have assigned at the clinic and the supervisor that assign me to it

have said to us it have a part about housekeeping. Housekeeping is one of the job

available for my course and that's why I have been assigned at the clinic.

First day at the office for the morning my coworker and I have been assigned to clean

and compile the folders and papers that are needed to be recycled to the still useful

folder and find books at library that are listed to the paper.

In the afternoon I am at the clinic we dint do much at the clinic we just talk about

sickness on what happened and what cause it.

November 15

At the office, we have been told about by our supervisor to not go in the clinic anymore

because they just want only one person to be assigned there and they say we don’t

do anything there. I dint do too much at the office in the morning.

I have just watched my other coworkers do their work and learning what they do and

how they do their task at work. I have arranged the books and papers on the table that

messy.
In the afternoon I have been assigned tasks to print the evaluation paper I have

thought it will be easy, but its not because you need to wait for the people to have their

permission to use the xerox and they not understand half what I am saying to them.

It's hard to be a half introvert.

November 16

This is just a regular day for me. Just like what I'm doing for the past few days, I'm

doing some paper works. How many evaluation papers needed to each teacher like

thirty paper to each teacher.

While I'm doing this, students are passing their project, but their teacher or my

supervisor is gone. I have been told by my supervisor to put the date at the front to

know when did they pass it.

I introduce myself and get their project and put the date November 16. And arrange

them by section.

I went back to work to continue arranging the papers. It was passed five o’clock in the

evening when I decide to go home.

November 17

I and my coworkers have been assigned by our supervisor to arrange the papers by

section and by name with names listed in the papers.

It's hard to find that many files papers in one swoop. We need their names to the large

file put them the correct section and arrange them by name. There’s many files with

other names that are not listed in the paper and these files are needed to be separated

to each other.
There are many names that are uncheck we report this to the supervisor and I double

check the many files there are some we miss to arrange.

But there’s many names unchecked and the supervisor told us to ignore it.

And in the afternoon we have been told to give the survey to the student when we

finish our arrangement of the papers. The supervisor has a meeting to attend.

We have finished our work and give the surveys to students. We have to wait fifteen

minutes for them to finish the survey each section and we finish and we go home.

November 19

I am absent at work.

November 20

It was nine in the morning when my supervisor Miss. Adele gave me a task to record

all the given numbers or tally the numbers. The survey is much like one teacher of

each section has thirty survey paper.

And it's nine thirty at the time I am recording the surveys when a classmate of mine

said to me there will be an exam, I have to excuse one hour of my work time for the

exam.

When I finish my exam I go back to my work to continue the recording, I have finished

the work today as three out of five teacher surveys.

November 21

I continue my work to record the surveys and planning to finish the recording early and

I was given more survey to record, its about students rate the performance of the

teacher in their classes.

There some teacher did not meet the expectation of the students they have been given

a low rating and stay true about the survey.

And there some students all high rating to the teacher that have many low ratings

because they like the teacher who act that way of doesn’t care about the survey.

Five o’clock of the evening I have finished recording the surveys and I pack things a

go home for the day.

November 22

I come to the office at nine o’clock in the morning than the usual eight o’clock in the

morning because our class a performance task and it was scheduled in the morning

and finishes in one and a half hour later, I continue to my duty to work immediately

after the performance is finished.

I have been assigned a task by my supervisor to copy the comments written in the

surveys as originals as possible. Another hand tiring writing, but it's easy just to copy

the comments, but the hard part is not understanding what is written because cursives,

too little to read and long comments, combined.

My coworker and I have been called by the supervisor who manage us that one of us

have a father's name “anonymous” (I will not tell the name of the father because of

privacy reasons). Because of what happened to the clinic (read November 15 log as

what happened).

As what our supervisor explains to us the part of housekeeping in the clinic is

changing the cover of the beds at the clinic.

The clinics of big hotel or company change there covers daily, but our school clinic

changes it once a week if we have stayed there we have experienced it.

As it finish I got back to work and have an overtime because of the lost time in the

morning.

November 23

I continue my work writing down the comments in the morning. One of my coworkers

asks me to if I have a free time in the afternoon and they ordered mcdo for their lunch

and I'm one them eat together.

As I finish my lunch I have gone back to my work to finish it today and have another

overtime because of my work. As I finish my work I report it to the supervisor and go

home.

November 24

As the last day of my immersion I have been given the task of my supervisor to check

the remaining test paper at the table as I finish it. There is still a lot of time left that I

can do. My supervisor give me advise that can help me in the feature job I find. I go

home to my correct time.

Chapter 4 – Valuing My Work Immersion Experience

I have valued experience on my work immersion as to having better communication

to another coworker can finish the given or assigned task quickly. A type of workplace

can affect your mood of your atmosphere, having a good workplace can boost your

work time of not being boring for the whole day. Having a bad workplace can decrease

your work speed up to half or worse. Your attitude can have an effect at your workplace

affecting other people about your attitude around you. You can have the best time

learning new things about what's happening at the workplace like how other coworker

adapt to another coworker.
