1. Students will gain an understanding and learn how to establish the fundamentals of the hurdles using when performing the jump

during everyday track activities while promoting good sportsmanship and teamwork.

0-5 Warm-Up/Introduction Make the warm up a little more harder each exercise.
Dynamic Warm-up and stretching/ Types of Races in the hurdles for men and women
5-13 Lesson Focus/Content Development  Change it to a mild run and then a half sprint
 Walking Lead and Trail leg drills for hurdle clearance and landing
 Demonstrate the quick snap down of lead leg
 Demonstrate opposite hand to opposite foot technique
 Vertical jumps over the hurdles
 Explain the strides to each hurdle

14-24 Culminating Activity  Raise the hurdles after displaying proper


 Run a 40m low hurdles technique
 Divide class in groups and time them on 40m low hurdles  Extend the event by another 10-20m
25 Closure
 Review over what was cover during the lesson.
 Review key points to a successful stride and jump of the hurdles.
 Answer any questions and make suggestions for proper training.
 Go over rules and hurdle dashes.
 Discuss on how one can improve and become a better hurdler.
