Personal Learning Journal – On Boarding

Shadowing with Ate Eliz (12/27/2018)

- Ate Eliz taught me what the team is and what the team does.
- Had an overview of Wake Frequency Calculation (WFC).
- Learned about the basics of WFC.

Shadowing with Kuya Ken (12/27/2018)

- Was introduced to WFC, I had a glimpse of what the team does.

- Import sheet, TCT Tool, and Generated report was also introduced.

Shadowing with Ate Sam (12/28/2018)

- I was thought of the basics in inputting data from CDS to Import Sheet.
- Remember that the units in pressure will always be in gauge, unless
otherwise stated in the CDS that it is absolute.
- Taught of the concept in Nozzle ID and Root Diameter, maximum diameter is
the difference of the nozzle ID and twice the fillet radius.
- Shielded length is the sum of HOD and Wall thickness, U length > Shielded.
- U length if too short or too long, is half of the pipe ID plus the wall thickness
and HOD.
- Taught of the basics of recommending. Revising some process parameters
will give a considerable effect in WFC.
- Density and velocity is important, velocity is given a priority than mass flow
rate and volumetric flow rate.

Shadowing with Ate Sam and Hands-on Activity (01/02/2019)

- Ate Sam let me do a WFC.

- It was a one tag CDS, there were still errors that I did, but Ate Sam taught
me what I need to correct. She imparted knowledge about Nozzle ID, the
assumed value of ID is the process connection size but is STD, and that if the
given ID did not meet 2x fillet radius allowance, we use X instead.
- She led me through the whole process, from making a folder, to sending it
back to the requester, and even logging in the monitoring sheet.
- She provided me some modules and formats that I will need in WFC.
- Once I get used to it, she gave me another task of doing a WFC but is not
that easy than the earlier one. 2 tags failed, and she taught me how to do
recommendations. Shortening the U length, increasing root and tip diameter,
until the required Frequency ratio is achieved, 0.39 for Liquids and 0.79 for
Gases.

Shadowing with Ate Sam and Hands-on Activity (01/03/2019)

- The tags were much more than the previous ones, there were more failed
tags and Ate Sam let me through again the recommendation process. She
gave me some notes that would guide me.
Shadowing with Ate Eliz and Hands-on Activity (01/04/2019)

- Ate Eliz taught me how to do WFC if the tags were from CRM.
- She said that the WFC is still the same, but in uploading the file in CRM,
there are 5 things that I need to change.
o 1. Delegated by: Change to TempQuotes
o 2. Owner: Requester Name
o 3. Description: Email format in sending WFC
o 4. Submitted
o 5. Then add Attachment
- Ate Eliz also taught me on how to recommend a Twisted Square Shank Twell.
The specific dimensions are 19.05 mm and 22.23 mm. In recommending, the
U length should be back to the original.
- She also taught me the STDs, or the other information that the customer
gives, and we need to double check it based on our references.
- We will also recommend Twisted Square if the situation calls for it, for
example, if the frequency ratio is very high.

Shadowing with Kuya Ken (01/07/2019)

- I was introduced in Official Calculations specifically in eDocs.

- Kuya Ken taught me the basics of Official Calculations. That if there is an
Official Calculations, there are no Specs folder. We must double check the
details that the customer sent us, because sometimes, there are errors and
lapses that we need to see.
- I need to update certain details in the Tag Report to be generated, go to
Project in the TCT, then update SO Line Number, as well as the Sales Order
Number. Then Go to Reports.

Shadowing with Kuya Kevin (01/07/2019)

- Kuya Kevin taught me how to do an Official Calculations in Oracle.

- He imparted skills that are very advanced that I can use to make importing
data easier. He also said that we need to double check every detail.

Shadowing with Kuya Ken (01/08/2019)

- Kuya did some calculations regarding Threaded Twells.

- In Threaded calculations, U length WFC = U length Actual
- In Official Calculations, if there are many errors and some tags are missing,
the report will not be generated.
- Remember that if there are any changes, recommendations in the report, the
model code should be deleted.
