REPORT FOR INSTALLING OF DANFOSS COMPRESSOR AT NANUTEL MARGAO AS ON

27/01/2019

1.Installed the new Danfoss Compressor Model SM185S4RC Serial Number JF2503961791 on the
CIAT LGP 150 Hot/Cold Water Circulation Unit.
2. The Flanges of both the Inlet and Outlet in the Freon 22 Gas were changed by Brazing.
3.The Filter Drier was also replaced.
4.The Piping was kept for 24 hours under Nitrogen at 400 PSI. No drop in Pressure was observed.
5. Oil Level was checked and was slightly more than three quarters on the View Glass which is as per
the Recommendations of the Manufacturer.
6. Applied Vacuum to the Unit and achieved a Vacuum of 450 milli bar Absolute.
7. Electrically Terminals were connected and ensured proper sequencing of Phases.
8. The Vacuum was then broken with F22 Gas and Unit started and charged with Gas giving time for
maintaining the right differential between Suction and Discharge Gas Pressure.
9. Charged F22 Gas around 3.5 Kgs to achieve a Suction Pressure of 65 PSI.
10. Checked the Current Drawn and found to be R 26A Y 25A and B 25A.
11. Checked Heat on the Compressor and Sound or Vibration.
12. All found to be Normal. Ran the Unit for around 1 Hour and tested the Performance.
13. All Parameters observed to be Normal.
14. The Hot Water was Set to 52 degrees Celsius. Within its Dead Band was observed to cut in at 50
Degrees Celsius and Cutting Off at 53 Degrees Celsius.

It was observed that during the Start- up of the Compressor, the Control Unit of the Compressor was
not Functioning. An Alternate Controller from another working Unit was used for the entire Start-up
Operation. It is envisaged that the earlier defective Compressor may have damaged the Controller
during its Failure as its defect was concluded due to drawing High Current.

As for the Compressor the Results were found Running Satisfactory.
