Chapter 3: Data and Methodology
Chapter 3: Data and Methodology
This chapter will discuss about how the researcher will collect their data for this
dissertation.
3.1. Description of data
The data collection that being used in this dissertation is primary data.
Quantitative research has been held for this dissertation.
Researcher had been prepared questionaire to collect a data for this research.
3.2. Sampling Process
Custer Sampling
Population: Undergraduate UMS student => Sample: Undergraduate FPEP student
Convenience Sampling
Population: Undergraduate UMS student => Sample: Undergraduate FPEP student
3.3. Data Analysis
Data preparation: Editing process => Missing data => coding and datta entry
=> Data transform.
Realibility is refer to to the degree to hich a measure produces stables and
consistent result.
Reliability test that being used for this study is Cronbach’s alpha.
Validity: The main purpose of a researcher by exploring construct validity is to
determine whether the inferences made about the results of the assessment are
meaningful and serve the purpose of the assessment.
Validity test generally involves a pilot testing
Normality Test: methods of assessing whether data are normally distributed or
not.
For this study, researcher has used histogram technique for graphically method
For numerical method, researcher has used Shapiro Wilk Test technique
Descriptive Test: help describe and understand the features of a specific data
set by giving short summaries about the sample and measures of the data
In this study researcher will used bar chart and pie chart to identify the frequency
distribution
Researcher also will measure the central tendency using mean, mode and median.
Inferential analysis: For this study, researcher has used t-test statistical
The t-test statistics used to determine wether or not a treatment intervention
causes a significant change from a population or untreated mean.
