SUBTASK 940-001-A
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE AIRCRAFT IS IN A SAFE CONDITION BEFORE YOU DO
THE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES. THIS IS TO PREVENT INJURY TO
PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do the procedure to make the aircraft safe for maintenance (AMM TASK
20-00-00-910-801-A/200 ).
(2) Do the procedure to make the aircraft safe for maintenance of the powerplant (AMM
TASK 71-00-00-910-801-A/200 ).
SUBTASK 860-001-A
(3) Connect the external AC power supply to the aircraft (AMM TASK 24-42-02-860-801-
A/200 ).
(4) On the overhead panel, on the AIR COND/PNEUMATIC control panel, set these
pushbuttons to the unlatched (off) position (a striped bar comes into view):
• PACK 1
• PACK 2
• BLEED 1
• BLEED 2
• BLEED APU
• XBLEED
• RECIRC
SUBTASK 862-001-A
(5) On the MCDU (AMM SDS 34-61-00/1 ), make sure that these circuit breakers are
closed:
• SPDA2 PWR SPLY 1-RICC (DC BUS 2)
SUBTASK 860-002-A
(6) Make sure that these CAS messages do not come into view during the test:
• BLEED 1 LEAK (caution)
(7) Make sure that this CAS message does not come into view during the test:
• PACK 2 LEAK (caution)
(8) Use the CCD to select the ECS synoptic page on MFD 1.
(9) Use the CCD to select the A/I synoptic page on MFD 2.
E. Engine Pneumatic Bleed System - Operational Test
SUBTASK 710-004-A (Figure 501)
(1) Do this operational test with AMS controller channel A (CH 1) and channel B (CH 2) in
control, separately.
5 On the CMC, do a check of the HPSOV parameters. Use the sequence that
follows to do a check of the BLEED SYSTEM PARAMETERS CH A (1) or
BLEED SYSTEM PARAMETERS CH B (2) for channel in control (AMM
TASK 45-45-00-970-805-A/200 ),
• 36 - PNEUMATIC
(f) After you set the TDS PARAMETERS, push ENTER on the TDS MENU page on
the MCDU.
CAUTION: FOR THESE PROCEDURES, OBEY THE POWERPLANT OPERATING
LIMITATIONS.
(g) Refer to (AMM TASK 71-00-00-910-801-A/200 ). Slowly move the LH TL to the
accelerated position. Set the LH TL around 85% N2.
NOTE: For this step, the RH TL position must obey the safety precautions for
engine ground runs at high power, as described in (AMM TASK
71-00-00-910-801-A/200 ).
(h) Wait 3 minutes to continue the operational test.
NOTE: You must wait 3 minutes to make sure that the CAS messages will not
show on the EICAS.
Result:
1 On the ECS synoptic page:
• LH NAPRSOV, XBLD valve, and FCV1 stay open.
NOTE: The CAS message BLEED 1 FAIL comes into view when:
• the LH bleed temperature is more than 455°F (235 °C) and
lower than 500 °F (260 °C) for 2 minutes, or
• The CAS message BLEED 1 LEAK must not show on the EICAS.
NOTE: The CAS message BLEED 1 OVERPRESS comes into view when
the bleed pressure is more than 100 psig.
(i) Set the LH TL to the idle position.
(j) On the overhead panel, on the AIR COND/PNEUMATIC control panel, set these
pushbuttons to the unlatched (off) position as follows:
• BLEED 1
• XBLEED
• PACK 1
Result:
1 A striped bar comes into view on these pushbuttons.
4 On the CMC, do a check of the HPSOV parameters. Use the sequence that
follows to do a check of the BLEED SYSTEM PARAMETERS CH A (1) or
BLEED SYSTEM PARAMETERS CH B (2) for channel in control (AMM
TASK 45-45-00-970-805-A/200 ),
• 36 - PNEUMATIC
