II. FORMAL OFFER

The testimony of the witness Ms. Marissa “Sissy” Santos is being

offered to prove that she knows the petitioner and the respondent in

this case; and that she personally witnessed the verbal insult by the

respondent to the petitioner. Marissa, in the course of her testimony,

will identify evidence pertinent to this case and will also testify on other

allied matters.

I, MARISSA “SISSY” SANTOS, of legal age, Filipino, single,

with address at #52, DPS Compound, Baguio City, after having been

duly sworn to in accordance with law, hereby states that:

I am answering the questions propounded by Atty. Lorenzo

Angelo A. Ocampo of MALOAG CCA LAW FIRM fully conscious that I

am under oath and that I may face criminal liability for false testimony

or perjury;
 This Judicial Affidavit is written in English, a language known and

understood by me, and the examination and execution thereof were

done at MALOAG CCA LAW FIRM, #69 Puso ng Baguio, Session

Road, Baguio City; and

This Judicial Affidavit shall serve as my direct testimony in this

case.

III. JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT PROPER

1. Q: Please state your name, age, residence, and occupation.

A: I am Marissa Santos, 24, a resident of #52, DPS Compound

Baguio City. I am working as a real estate agent in Dos Disenyos

Incorporated.

2. Q: Why are you here now?

A: To directly testify regarding the verbal insult of Jacky to Jade.

3. Q: For the record, please state the name of the Lawyer who is

now conducting your examination and the place where it is being

held.

A: Atty. Lorenzo Angelo A. Ocampo at MALOAG CCA Law Firm,

Puso ng Baguio, Session Road, Baguio City.

4. Q: In what language do you want the examination to be

conducted?

A: In English, ma’am.
5. Q: Do you undertake to answer the questions to be asked of you,

fully conscious that you will do so under oath, and that you may

face criminal liability for false testimony or perjury?

A: Yes, attorney.

6. Q: Do you know the petitioner Jade Flores- Bartolome?

A: Yes. She is my best friend, attorney. We treat each other as

sisters. Hence, we call each other “sissy”.

7. Q: How about the respondent Jacqueline Montefalco- Corpuz or

“Jacky” Corpuz?

A: No, attorney. I only saw her once, when she insulted Jade.

8. Q: How did you know that there was a verbal insult made by

Jacqueline Corpuz?

A: I was there, attorney. I was with Jade when Jacky made the

insult.

9. Q: When was that?

A: Last Saturday, January 26, 2019, attorney.

10. Q: Can you narrate what you witnessed on January 26, 2019?

A: Yes, attorney. I visited Jade in their house that day because I

do not have work. I had lunch in their house. After we ate, Jade

asked me to accompany her to a convenience store near them

to buy vinegar. Jacky, together with her 2 companions were

already in the store talking to each other when we arrived there.

Nonetheless, we approached the saleslady in the store for the

vinegar. Afterwards, we heard Jacky say in a loud voice, “Oh

 ayan na yung kabit na may kabit.” then called Jade as

“sawsawan ng bayan.” Jade, in the height of her anger, shouted

at Jacky. The two started fighting verbally.

11. Q: What did you then when they were fighting?

A: I was cheering for Jade, Attorney, but later I stopped her

because people were already looking at them.

12. Q: What did you do after the fight?

A: I brought Jade in to their house and we waited for her

husband, Rino. When he arrived, I went home already.

13. Q: Can you recall the faces of Jacky and her two companions?

A: Yes, attorney.
