ACTUAL EFFECTIVENESS OF

FISH-IN CYCLING

Based upon Carl Strohmeyer’s article “NITROGEN CYCLE AND AQUARIUM & POND CYCLING”, it can
be argued that the main arguments of fish-in cycling are mainly about the importance of saving time for
establishing the tank compared to the well-being of the fish used for the cycling process.
As a hobbyist-who dwells on caring of more sensitive breeds of fish- I advocate for a fishless cycling,
an approach that makes for a more stabilized tank, which is beneficial even for a tank with hardier
inhabitants. The current article is based on both cited sources and my own personal experience of the
matter.
