Having started out with a single project-the construction, operation & maintenance of
HVJ pipeline, today we have diversified to have LNG, Petrochemicals, City Gas
distribution and many other business segments under our fold. In the last year itself we
have initiated a slew of new projects and registered a 21% increase in Net Revenue.
We would continue to expand our business interests keeping the concerns of our

Jurisdiction, of HVJ, DVPL-I and DVPL-II Natural Gas pipeline, under GAIL Jhabua
starts from Devgarh Baria RR-8 in Dahod District of Gujarat and ends at Kasarbadi RR-
12 in Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh covering 125 Kms of all three pipelines. Out of
125Kms pipeline 59 Kms pipeline falls in Dahod District of Gujarat and 66 Kms in
Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh. In Jhabua District all three Natural Gas pipelines
pass through 45 villages of Jhabua and Petlawad Talukas/Tahsils.
In Jhabua District GAIL has its Compressor Station at Gehlar Kalan and RR/SV Stations
at Anas-1,Anas-2, Mohankot, Raipuriaya and Kasarbadi for safety of pipeline in case of
exigency and to isolate the affected section.
Natural Gas Properties:
 Natural gas is a combustible gas that is a mixture of hydrocarbon
compounds primarily methane, along with small amounts of ethane,
propane, butane, pentane etc.

 It is a colorless, tasteless, odorless, and non-toxic gas

 It is lighter than air, so should it ever leak, it will dissipate directly into the
atmosphere.

 It has high ignition temperature and a narrow flammability range

 It is cleanest of the fossil fuels

Do’s:
1. Do not allow anybody to excavate in GAIL’s P/L ROU. If so please inform
GAIL.

2. Restrain others from damaging GAIL’s property and any construction

activities.

3. In case of leakage, rush in the opposite direction of wind.

4. In Case of any abnormality like exposure of Pipeline, Leakage of gas, etc.,

immediately inform GAIL officials/ nearest Police Station.

 Pipeline & Minerals Pipeline Act 1962

Clause-9 (2) of P&MP Act 1962-Prohibitions:

“The owner or occupier of the land under which any pipeline has been laid not
do any act or permit any act to be done which will or is likely to cause any
damage in any manner whatsoever to the pipeline”.

Clause-15 (1&2) of P&MP Act 1962-Penalties:

(1) Whoever willfully obstructs any person in doing any of the acts authorized by
section 4 or section 7 or section 8 or willfully fills up, destroys, damages or displaces
any trench or mark made under section 4 or willfully does any act prohibited under
section 9, shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to six months or
with fine or with both.

(2) Whoever willfully removes, displaces, damages or destroys any pipeline laid under
section 7, shall be punishable with rigorous imprisonment for a term which shall not be
less than one year, but which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine
Don’ts:

Do not excavate in the ROU. The Pipeline is laid at a depth of 1m from the
ground level.
Do not damage the markers as it is a punishable offence. The markers
installed in the Pipeline ROU are for identification of ROU and for your
personal safety.

Do not damage TLPs & do not tie animals with them. These are
installed for monitoring the health of pipeline.
