Let’s get started using Teams!

The Virtual Development Academy is hosted entirely in Microsoft Teams to enable social learning
and collaboration among the global cohort. Teams is a chat-based workspace that brings together
chat, files, people, and tools in one place. Using Teams makes your learning flexible and accessible
from anywhere, on any device.

We recommend you download the desktop and mobile version for the best learning experience.

Your first task: Ensure you have the minimum system requirements for the technology we are using.
• Windows 7 OS or higher on a laptop or desktop
• Compatible browsers include Internet Explorer 11, Firefox or Chrome

Then, follow these easy steps to download Teams for your desktop from the Software Center.

Finally, follow the instructions to install on your desktop and sign in with your Windows username and
password.

From the Teams desktop,

click the Getting Started
team channel, then click
the Course Website tab
along the top.
