Selena Gomez, Full Name Selena Marie Gomez (Born in July 1992, in Grand Prairie Texas, Is an American
Singer, song writer, actress and a producer who became famous from her Disney Series Wizards of
Wavery Place that aired four seasons from 2007 to 2012. Selena gained a huge amount of recognition
for portraying role of Alex Russo in this series. Selena’s net worth is US $50 million.

Selena Gomez is a daughter of Mandy Teefey and Ricardo Gomez. A very few might know, but
Selena’s mother has also being an ameture actress. Selena has gotten inspiration from her
mother is named after a very famous Tejano Singer “Selena Quintanilla-Perez” dthat died in
1995. Selena is the only child from her parents having no siblings as her parents filed for a
divorce when she was only five years old.

Her Tragic life however, didn’t stop her for achieving her dreams. Her first appearance was
made in the childern’s television series “Barney and friends” where she was playing a
character of "Gianna". Later, her second appearance was seen alongside Demi Lovato in
2002-2004. She has also worked in “Spy Kids 3: Game Over”, “Walker Texas Ranger: Trial
by fire”, and “House broken”. Later in 2007, the series that changed her life and that gave
her a huge reognition was “Wizards of Wavery Place”. This series aired on Disney from
2007-2012 and became a stepping stone for her career.

In 2009, Selena released her first band with the name “Selena Gomez and the Scene” which
was ranked at number 9 in billboard charts. Later, she released two more albums with the
same band. It was 2013, when she first released her Solo Album named “Stars Dance” and
the single released for this album was “come and get it”. This song was recorded in the top
10 list of billboard hot 100, In 2015, she released another Solo Album “Revival” featuring
single “Good For You” which debuted #! In the billboard to 200 list.

Despite of singing and acting, Selena in 2010, started her clothing line in Kmart, also a self
titled fragrance back in 2013. In 2017, she also released a limited fine collection of bags
with the name “Selena Grace”. Gomez has also being a UNICEF ambassador and the most
followed Instagram user even surpassing “Cristiano Ronaldo”. Selena has won numerous
awards in her career including American Music Award, Teen choice and MTV Videos music
award etc.

Selena in her adult hood might have enjoyed her career life, but has a very rocky road when
it comes to her 1st Love Justin Bieber. They both started dating each other at 2010 but
separated in 2012. Later they seemed to pair up again but then again encountered a second
breakup and hence Justin got married to Hailey. Selena has faced multiple ups and downs
causing her extreme depression that led her to have Lupus. Her fight with lupus and the
way she kept it hidden from the world has allowed her to gain a lot of self respect and
honour. Selena in Oct 2015, for the first time opened up and talked about herself dealing
with lupus. In 2017, when her condition was no longer stable, she was told to immediately
go under kidney transplant surgery where her friend Francia Raisa donated her kidney to selena.
Selena is currently hospitalized and going under a medical treatment.
