1. The teacher making the students to stand outside of the classroom because of not doing
their assignments.
2. The teacher asks the student leader to take over the class because of a family
emergency. Seatwork is left by the teacher for the student leader to supervise.
3. The teacher jokingly calls his favorite grade 9 student “Honey” and invites her for a date.
4. The teacher gave Armando a failing grade of 70% in English because he fails to clean the
classroom.
5. The teacher denying the parents to complete scholastic performance of their son Rico.
The parents of Rico want to see the raw scores in all his quizzes.
6. Athena posted in her facebook that her classmate Sonia is ugly because pimples all over
her face. The post receives several likes from netizens.
7. Mrs. Lydia Santos always refuses her principal in asking her to attend seminars that will
help her improve her teaching competencies. Mrs. Santos claims that she has nothing
more to learn as a teacher.
8. Miss Rita, a kindergarten teacher, did not include in her document that she has a live in
partner.
9. The teacher failed to give first aid treatment to Antonio who accidentally bumped his
nose at the doorknob.
10. Tina, a grade 2 student, reported to her teacher that she is always beaten by her
stepfather and showed to the teacher her bruised legs.
11. Mrs. Jin Delos Santos, a public school teacher, has been a perfect attendance awardee
for 10 years. Mrs. Delos Santos files one year leave with pay because she is given
scholarship to study abroad but her principal does not want to give her the permission.
12. Therese Athena graduated in April but the school failed to issue her transcript of records
in June which caused her to lose the chance of being employed in the company she
applied.
13. Mrs. Chona Crus was summoned in the office of the principal because of frequent
phone calls from credit and loan agencies demanding that Mrs. Cruz be advised by the
principal to pay her outstanding loan.
14. Mr. and Mrs. Gutierres told the teacher of their son Alex that he does not want to come
to school anymore because his classmates call him ugly duckling. The teacher claims
that she doesn’t know the incident.
15. Mrs. James Smith, a LET passer teacher, applied in the public school. Mr. Smith passed
the competitive examination and was given his rank. Later on he was told that he lost
the item he is not a practicing Catholic.
C. Using constitutional and legal mandates in education as reference, explain how the following
problems can be resolved.

1. Mr. Alvarez is a public school teacher for 10 years. It has been his intention to update
himself through enrollment to graduate school. For two years, he has completed his
academic requirement and passed comprehensive exam. His thesis adviser has given
him just one year to finish writing his thesis. What educational legalities can help Mr.
Alvarez to finish his graduate studies without losing his job as teacher.
2. Joana belongs to advisory class of Mrs. Cruz. Joana was confronted by the parents of her
best friend who demand that Joana return their daughters handbag . How can Mrs. Cruz
help Joana since her parents are abroad? What right allows her to stand by Joana?
3. Alyssa, A grade 4 student of Miss Santos does not like to come to school anymore
because her classmates are calling her names like “chubby” and “baduy”. They even get
her food during lunch. Miss Santos knows about these repeated incidents but simply
ignore them. What educational legalities did Miss Santos violate? What could Miss
Santos have done as a teacher?
