 DELE A1 ESCOLAR

The DELE A1 exam for students certifies the linguistic

competence necessary to understand and use common
everyday expressions and basic phrases in order to
meet immediate needs.

• It is an official diploma that corresponds with the

levels of the Common European Framework of
Reference for languages (CEFR).

• It evaluates and certifies the knowledge of the

student since their first contact with the language.

• The A1 certification does not expire.

• It motivates students between ages 11 to 17, as it

represents a challenge and recognizes their learning in
the initial stages of their studies.

It consists of four parts:

1. Reading comprehension test (45 min).

2. Listening comprehension test (20 min).
3. Written expression and interaction test (25 min).
4. Oral expression and interaction test (10 min + 10 min of preparation).

 DELE A2/B1 exam for students

• It offers the student the possibility of obtaining a

DELE diploma in either the A2 or B1 levels,
depending on the results of the examination.

• It evaluates and certifies the level of

competency within the A2 or B1 levels according
to the Common European Framework of
Reference (CEFR), and the curriculum of the
Cervantes Institute.

• It is recognized internationally and does not

expire.

• It is an exam that has been adapted for students

between the ages 11 to 17 years.

 DELE A2/B1 exam ESCOLAR

It consists of 4 parts:

1. Reading comprehension test (50 min)

2. Listening comprehension test (30 min)
3. Written expression and interaction test (50 min)
4. Oral expression and interaction test (12 min + 12 min of
preparation)

 DELE A2 level

• This diploma certifies that the candidate is able to

understand sentences and frequently use expressions
related to areas of the most relevance to him/her (basic
information about themselves, their family, shopping,
places of interest, activities, etc).

 DELE B1 level

• To understand the main points of a clear standard

text on known issues in either situations of work,
study, or leisure.

• To function in most situations that may arise during

traveling in an area where the language is spoken.

• To produce simple coherent texts on topics that are

familiar to you or that are of personal interest.

• To describe experiences, events, hopes, and

ambitions, and to briefly justify your opinions and
explain your plans.

Dates of enrollment for the DELE A1 and A2/B1

ESCOLAR in 2017

May 12 2017:

•Period of enrollment: Until March 29, 2017

•Date of the written exams: Friday May 12
•Documentation: 1) registration sheet has to be filled out in capital letters (an
personal e-mail has to be provided)
2) a photocopy of either passport or driver’s license.
3) the payment (cheque payable to the Instituto
Cervantes, cash or credit card)

When and where can I see my results?

The marks will be available between 2 to 3 months. You need to visit our website and
download the results. You will need to register and fill out the information. It is very
important that you have a valid personal e-mail and provide a passport number or
driver’s license. Otherwise, you won´t be able to access your marks.

When can I get my diploma?

Between 6 to 7 months after the test, the diplomas will arrive to Calgary and I will call the
teachers or the DELE testing centres to advice them.
