厄立特里亚进行正式访问。两位领导人分别乘专机抵达阿斯马拉。厄

立特里亚总统伊撒亚斯亲自到机场迎接。三位领导人对一系列地区事

ETHIOPIAN AND KENYAN LEADERS ON AN

OFFICIAL VIST TO ASMARA
President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya and Dr.Abiy Ahmed,

Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, arrived in

separate flights in Asmara in the morning hours of 3 march for an official

visit.

Upon arrival at Asmara International Airport the two leaders were awarded

warm welcome by President Isaias Afewerki and senior government

officials accompanied with guard of honor.

President Kenyatta was accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs

and Ambassador of Kenya to Ethiopia.

The Ethiopian delegation included, Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, Minister of

foreign Affairs, General Seare Mokonnen, chief of staff of the Ethiopian

Defense forces and General Adem Mohammed, Director General of

security Agency of Ethiopia.

The three leaders discussed regional issues in a tripartite summit they

conducted at the state palace.

President Uhuru Kenyatta returned home concluding one day visit.

Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed and his delegation accompanied by

President Isaias Afewerki and senior government officials visited

development sites in the southern region including Logo and Misilam dams,

dairy farms as well as the solar system that is under construction in the area

VISIT SOUTH SUDAN
President Isaias Afewerki and Prime Minster Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia

conduct a one-day working visit to the Republic of South Sudan on 4

March. Upon arrival at the Juba International Airport, the two leaders were
accorded warm welcome by President Salva kiir and senior South Sudan

Government officials.

Presidant Isaias Afewerki, Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed and president

Salva kiir Mayardit held extensive discussion on a broad range of issues.

In a joint statement released, the three leaders emphasized the need to

continue working together to consolidate pace in the Republic of south

Sudan in all ways possible and to seek a way to coordinate the positions of

the three countries on both regional and global issues.

They also agreed to advance the cause of regional integration and to that

end agreed to task their foreign ministers and other relevant government

agencies in the three countries to work out the common projects that will

facilitate the attainment of the goal of regional economic integration and

shared prosperity.

At the end of their visit President Isaias Afewerki and Prime Minster Dr.

Abiy Ahmed Thanked President Salva Kiir and though him the people of

South Sudan for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to them and

their delegation.

理率领的俄罗斯代表团与厄立特里亚外交部长欧斯曼举行了会谈。

双方讨论了在加工制造业、能源、水利设施、医药健康领域的投
资机会和合作的潜力。俄罗斯驻厄立特里亚大使、厄立特里亚总统顾

问同时参加了会谈。俄罗斯副总理已是第二次访问厄立特里亚。俄罗

斯代表团分别与健康卫生部长、旅游部长和矿业部司长举行了会谈。

俄罗斯代表团还访问了科伦、马萨瓦和赛格尼特三市。

随团而来的俄罗斯青年足球队与厄立特里亚青年足球队举行了

友谊赛。

MINISTER OSMAN SALEH HELD TALKS WITH

RUSSIAN DELEGATION
Foreign Minster Osman Saleh met and held talk, on 28 February, with

Russian Federation’s delegation from Sverdlovsk region led by Mr. Sergey

Bidonko, Deputy Governor.

The two sides discussed investment opportunity and cooperation

prospects in manufacturing, energy, and water infrastructure health,

pharmaceutical as well as culture and sports.

The meeting was attended by presidential Advisor, Mr. Yemane Gebreab,

and the Russian Federation Ambassador to Eritrea, Mr. Azim Yarakhmedov.

Mr. Sergey Bidonko is visiting Eritrea for the second time and that attests

to the growing relations between Russia and Eritrea and the region.

The Russian delegation also held similar meetings with the Minsters of

Health, Tourism and the Director General of Mines.

During its stay in Eritrea, The Russian delegation will be visit development
and tourism sites in Keren, Massawa and Segeneiti.

A Russian youth football team, which accompanied the delegation,also

played a friendly match with its Eritrean counterpart in Asmara.

科伦取水点项目完工
近日，耗资 3100 万纳克法的科伦取水点项目完工。项目由科伦

市政府和其它股东协助实施。包括安装水管、掘井、修建储水设施、

修建取水站。政府官员称，项目完工后，水井数量 由 10 个增加到 24

个，储水设施由 2 个增加到 4 个，当地居民人口的 80%都能从项目获

益。

POTABLE WATER PROJECT IN KEREN

A 31 million Nakfa potable water project in Keren city has been finalized.

The project that was that was implemented in cooperation with the Keren

Municipality and stakeholders included installation of pipelines, digging

wells as well as construction of reservoirs and water distribution centers.

The administrator of the city, Mr. Zerzghi Dawit, said that sustainable

effort has been made to alleviate potable water problem in the city and

called for judicious usage.

Commending the strong participation of the residents in the

implementation of the project, Mr. Abraha Girmatsion, Head of water

services, indicated that the project included two water wells, one reservoir,
as well as 11 km –long water pipelines.

Mr. Abraha said that the number of wells has increased from 10 to 24, the

number of reservoir from 2 to 4 and that 80% of the residents will become

beneficiaries of this project.
