Welcome to the fourth issue of GRAPHITE magazine! 04 | Unwrapping CreatureBox
This first quarterly run has been an exciting and
instructive time for us: perfecting our ideas for the
content and design, meeting new artists, and working
out the logistics of publishing and distributing our first
print magazine. With the feedback and encouragement
of our readers, we’ve produced four issues of which we
are very proud.
This issue was a pleasure to put together, as always.
We hope you enjoy our selection of great articles and
images from talented creature designers, concept
artists, illustrators, urban sketchers, and more that
you’ll find in the following pages.

“After a day spent trekking through dark forests and fighting off

giant spiders, it was down-time for the adventurers. They set camp

next to the hot springs of Eltish Vale and stretched their limbs,

placing helmets on stakes and shrugging armor from shoulders.

The elf watched on disapprovingly as the dwarves bounded into

the lake, shedding layers, while the halflings unburdened the cart

of its ale cask. The wizard used his staff to create a campfire, and

in its glow a hog roast slowly turned. And in the darkness of the

trees a creature lurked, firelight flashing dark intent in its eyes.”
