A human is in need of only 4 basic
essentials. Air which he can survive 3
minutes without, water 3 days without,
food 3 weeks without respectively.
Second to air, water is one of the most
crucial needs of a human without it,
survival is impossible but sadly a huge
portion of the population nowadays
don’t have adequate access to water.
The half filled cups of water we drain
down the sink, the long showers we
take, the luxurious baths we enjoy are all
fantasies to a third of the worlds
population. Access to clean water is a
vital need and a critical challenge to
many areas of the world but also a
problem that needs to be resolved.
• Nanotechnology is becoming more
popular, it cleans water from
disgusting sources and makes it
drinkable.
• Nanotechnology uses its own
cleaning method with the use of
nano-materials, which are particles
of materials that are scaled to a
really small size.
• This way of cleaning water is very
effective and efficient in many
different scenarios.
• Carbon nanotubes and aluminum
fibres remove different types of
harmful substances from the water.
• Some of the different harmful
substances in the water can include
solid sediments, chemical effluents,
charged particles, bacteria.
