Jeff "Siege" Siegel Quartet's

"Live in Europe"

Drummer/Composer Jeff "Siege" Siegel is a veteran of the

New York Jazz Scene and has worked with a virtual "who's
who" of artists. A member of the Sir Roland Hanna Trio from
1994-'99, Siegel's diverse career has also led him to
perform and/or record with legends such as Ron Carter,
Kenny Burrell, Jack DeJohnette, Benny Golson, Frank Foster,
Sheila Jordan, Helen Merrill, Mose Allison and many more.
His GRAMMY Award Entry is titled, "Live in Europe" (ARC-
2055) and was recorded by Radio Bremen from two live
radio concert dates – one at Munich's renowned Jazzclub
Unterfahrt, the other at Radio Bremen's own concert hall. The sound of the album is great.
Add the inspired performances by master musicians in their prime and "Live in Europe"
realizes a great recording on several levels. A true Jazz Icon himself, saxophonist Jimmy
Heath, weighed in with the following: "Jeff Siegel continues to make beautiful music. I
highly recommend you listen and you will get hooked like I did."

The record is being delivered to a select group of 80 – 100 jazz radio program directors and
several noted industry press outlets as well. Media inquiries are encouraged and welcomed:

"Live in Europe is a clear snapshot of a unit living serenely in the moment, even when the
music they play is anything but serene. But while we're lucky to have this release, Europe is
luckier: The Siegel Quartet went back to Europe at the beginning of June, packing three
years of new experiences on top of their already-solid résumé."

Jazz Pianist Sumi Tonooka’s

"Long Ago Today"

Pianist, composer and educator Sumi Tonooka (pronounced

To-NO-ka) reignites her successes as an architect at the
keyboard with her fifth and latest release, Long Ago Today
(ARC-2116), released nationwide on March 19, 2008. It’s
her first recording in a decade as a leader, and her
remarkable musical growth is showcased on nine originals
and one standard. Joining her are long-time musical partner
Rufus Reid on bass (Reid has appeared on all of her
releases) and the late drummer Bob Braye.

The only practical way to really absorb the great music on

"Long Ago Today" is to simply listen to the record and hear the sparkling performances and
compositions firsthand. With this statement in mind, the FOUR STAR REVIEW by Michael G.
Nastos for All Music Guide emphatically exclaims: "Her best to date, and a highly
recommended recording, it seems Tonooka is still tapping potential while refining her search
techniques on this very satisfying and enjoyable effort." Another FOUR STAR REVIEW came
in from JazzWise (UK) where journalist Tony Hall states: "Every single track on the CD has
something special about it and it's really worth trying to get a copy on the internet.
Unreservedly recommended." Other noteworthy reviews can be found at AllAboutJazz.com.

Released to radio on March 25, 2008, "Long Ago Today" has been well received by radio
programmers and listeners, resulting in the release climbing the JazzWeek Radio Charts,
remaining in the Top 50 for several months, while continuing to receive significant airplay
from traditional radio and 21st Century media platforms such as online music portals.
