TCS ION MODULE TRAINING REPORT

The purpose of this report is to make understand about the process of tata consulting services (TCS) ION software. They are
explained in step by step process.

Step 1: Go to the TCS ION training portal for seeking training on the module or the web portal for making real time operations by
“USERNAME” and “PASSWORD” provided by the organisation.

Step 2: After log in, the desktop displays a set of instructions to proceed further. Click on the icon “W (SOLUTIONS)” displayed below
to proceed further.

Step 3: The portal then shows “SOLUTIONS MATRIX” comprising of several queries as shown in the below picture.

Step 4: Click on the “MANUFACTURING” cell and proceed further. The portal then displays page showing menu bar. Then click on the
“SALES” menu to make ahead operations (SALES ENQUIRY, SALES QUOTE, SALES ORDER, & SHIPMENT PROCESS).

Step 5: To make sales related enquiry, click on “CREATE” to open sales enquiry page.

Click “CREATE”

Step 6: Please give the necessary information such as “enquiry date”, “enquiry description”, “enquiry type”, “site”, & “site address”.

Once provided the customer code, the customer name automatically syncs.

Regarding the site address, there are various sites of the organisation that were registered earlier. Depending upon the necessity,
select the site address.

NOTE: For Kakinada site select the “SSOE-SRI SAI OILFIELD EQUIPMENTS & MARINE SERVICES”. There is a search bar to ease up the
process.

At the bottom, there is another menu bar which includes “ITEM DETAILS”, “SERVICES”, & “ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS” menu.

 To procure any item, go to item details menu and click on the “INSERT ROW” provided down below to add rows and fill the
data required.
 The services menu is similar to item details menu but is for service-oriented purpose.
 Associated documents menu is for uploading the necessary documents.

Example of this process is shown in below picture.

NOTE: Before inserting item code, an item code to be created. The process for the item code creation is explained below in step-
wise.

 Go to “MASTER” menu.
 Click “DETAIL” in “ITEM” category.
 Click “CREATE” to make new item code.
 Later, a page will be displayed showing many options as shown in fig. XX
 Fill the necessary options that were highlighted by “STAR” mark.
 In “ITEM CODE” option, fill the option like one wishes. For example, “ITEM CODE: YAR_ANGLE”. Following it has “ITEM
DESCRIPTION”, fill the option as shown, example “ITEM DESCRIPTION: ANGLE BAR”
 The “ITEM TYPE” category has options as shown in the fig: XXX, select one depending on necessity.
 The “ITEM CATEGORY” and “ITEM GROUP” has line of options as shown in the fig: XIV. Select the necessary option.
 “ITEM CLASS” category tells about the grade of the item. Click it, drops menu bar showing options as “A”, “B”, & “C”. Select
the necessary option.
 Moving Down, displays “GST DETAILS”, on selecting “GST APPLICABLE” option, one must provide “HSN CODES” & “HSN
DESCRIPTION”. By doing so, the taxes are levied.
 Skip the “ADVANCED OPTION” as there are no important things to deal with.
 Going to “OTHER DETAILS”, will show a menu. Fill the “STAR” pointed out options.
 In “SITE” Category, search for the necessary site, upon doing so, site description automatically registers, so does the
“INVENTORY LOCATION”, “INWARD LOCATION”, & “PRODUCTION LOCATION”.
 Next go to “UNIT OF MEASUREMENT (UOM)” Category, provide the necessary UOM, and UOM CONVERSTION FACTOR, later
click the “BASE UOM FLAG”.
 In COST category, search for applicable “COST CODE” or else generate new one and select the necessary cost type.
 NOTE: Select the “SITE” which is given same in the “SALES ENQUIRY” category.
 In the account category, search and select the necessary option as per the necessity.

Provide the info

regarding the item

After filing all the necessary

details click “SAVE AS DRAFT”, but
not “SUBMIT”.

NOTE: After providing the necessary information, click on the “SAVE AS DRAFT”, but not “SUBMIT” button. The status of the item
then will be displayed as “OPEN”.

STEP 7: Click on the respective enquiry number and open the enquiry that has been made. For example, in this case, enquiry number
“SE-7”. Upon clicking it, the page will be displayed as below.

Then click on the “EDIT” option and then click the “SUBMIT” option. The status then will be displayed as “RELEASED” (meaning sales
enquiry is released to make further arrangements).

Step 8: Repeat the process by clicking on the respective enquiry number for its approval. On clicking the enquiring number, a page
will be displayed, showing the page as below.

After Approval the page will direct back to the records showing the set of enquiries made and about their statuses.

 For example, have a look at sales enquiry number “SE_7” and its status. It can be found the status as “APPROVED”.

Step 9: After the approval, click on the respective enquiry number from the records, and click on the “CONVERT TO SALES QUOTE
(SQ)” option displayed down below.

Click “CONVERT TO SQ”. It

helps to SE to SQ.
