Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing platform and infrastructure, created by Microsoft, for building, deploying
and managing applications and services through a global network of Microsoft-managed datacenters. It
provides SaaS, PaaS and IaaS services and supports many different programming languages, tools and
frameworks, including both Microsoft-specific and third-party software and systems.
Work on escalated tasks related to interconnectivity issues and complex cloud-based identity
management and user authentication, service interruptions with Virtual Machines (their host nodes) and
associated virtual storage (Blobs, Tables, Queues).
Moderate and contribute to the support forums (specific to Az Networking, Az Virtual Machines, Az
Active Directory, Az Storage) for Microsoft Developers Network including Partners and MVPs.
Provide consulting and cloud architecture for premier customers and internal projects running on MS
Azure platform for high-availability of services, low operational costs.
Reporting to the Group Manager for technical escalations, analyze top-issues and top call drivers for
the week and provide action plans to streamline processes.
Handle escalated Support tickets till closure for MS Azure IaaS platform.
Exposed to working with various issue severities, engaging specialized teams, close deadlines.
Work closely with the program management / product group for info on new released features. Interact
with principal owners of Microsoft proprietary enterprise products.
Contribute and collaborate with the content development team for official documentation, tech blogs
and "how-to" tutorials.
Design lab sessions for team members to reproduce critical issue.
Organize tech sync calls to be up-to-date on platform updates / emerging technologies
Part of an internal project to automate the Support process by designing an IVR using artifical
intelligence and logical troubleshooting algorithm.
Built Windows Server 2003 and 2008 VMs and physical servers via HP iLO virtual media and deploying virtual
machines from templates.
Role:
Installation and troubleshooting of Operating systems like Windows 2003 / XP Professional
Windows 7 & 8.
Configuration of Local and Network Printers on workstations.
Configuration and troubleshooting wireless internet connection.
Configuration and troubleshooting of Lotus Notes Email clients and other desktop related
issues using Remote Desktop software.
Installation of Antivirus such as Symantec 10.0, Trend Micro and McAfee 8.0 with periodic
updates.
Backing up user’s data and profiles.
Trouble Shooting Hardware Problems and Network related issues.
Installation and configuration of Lotus notes, AutoCAD, MS Office, Service Packs, and other
third party software.
Periodically check the systems for updating the antivirus, patches.
Managing and resolving End user requests within the SLA using TOPS online ticket logging
tool and service online tool.
Knowledge in DNS and DHCP Services.
Backing up user’s data with NT Backup
