The company
Five years, five priorities and $5 billion to more than double the size of Dana… do you want to share in
our success?

Dana Petroleum has grown considerably since its formation in 1994 and owes its current success to a
business model that combines focused exploration with targeted acquisitions.

Today, Dana is a $4 billion international oil and gas company producing 60,000 barrels of oil a day with
activities in the UK, Norway, The Netherlands, Egypt and Africa.

We have a strong and balanced asset base, which is underpinned by healthy cash reserves. We have a
diverse portfolio delivering strong cash flow, a range of development opportunities and an extensive and
exciting exploration programme.

Acquired by the Korean National Oil Corporation (KNOC) in October 2010, Dana's strategy is to grow in
Europe, The Middle East and Africa, organically and through acquisitions, to more than double the size of
the company by 2016. To achieve this, we plan to invest more than $5 billion over the next five years.

Dana's relationship with KNOC creates a unique opportunity to combine the scale and influence of a
major national oil company with our technical expertise and entrepreneurial drive, to succeed in our
chosen markets around the world.

We operate as an independent company with the support and backing of KNOC. Our Group Chief
Executive, Dr Marcus Richards, a former senior vice president of BP, is leading our growth strategy. Like
any private limited company, we have a board of directors who shape the long-term direction of the
company and a senior executive team, which oversees the delivery of our strategy.

We've got five priorities to help us deliver our strategy:

 drive performance in our existing locations through exploration that supports our existing

production hubs;

 secure access to new provinces in the Middle East and Africa;

 become a partner of choice by creating mutual advantage;

 increase value and efficiency by applying best practice techniques;

 develop the best people, processes and systems to help us succeed.

More important than anything else we do is the safety and security of our people. We have 500
employees in the UK, The Netherlands, Norway and Egypt and we expect significant growth in the near
future, both in the number of people and the range of locations. Our HQ will continue to be in Aberdeen
and staff based in the UK will move into a new office in May 2012.

Following the acquisition of Dana by KNOC and the appointment of Marcus Richards as Group Chief
Executive, we reorganised our business. The new organisation now has well defined business units for

each operating country. This creates a huge opportunity for the organisation and for talented people who
want to help us more than double the size of the company in the next five years.

We're creating a performance-driven, values-led organisation, and we recognise that how we do things is
just as important as what we do. We work in an environment of trust, mutual respect and equal
opportunity where everyone understands the role they play in driving the business forward.

We want to attract, develop and retain a high-calibre team by helping people thrive and progress. We
want to be a company where talented people take pride in delivering for the business; take advantage of
development opportunities; and are rewarded for great performance. We will make sure that reward and
recognition packages are fair, consistent, market competitive and encourage team performance.

It's an exciting time to be part of Dana.…do you want to share in our success?
