A curriculum document includes items as follow:

2.0 SIZE AND FORMAT

2.1 Margin

The margins should be 1 inches from the top, 1 inches from the bottom,
1.5 inches from the left and 1 inches from the right on every page.

2.2 Page numbering

Number the pages according to the sequence of content given in Topic 1.0.
The page number must be written at the bottom center. The page
numbering system must conform to the following rules:
a) All the page number must be written in Times New Roman font
size 10 pt and bold.
b) The program information, starting from the programme overview,
must be numbered using lower case Roman numerals (i, ii, iii and
so on);

c) The course information must be numbered; page number of total
page numbers (eg: 1/12, 2/12, 3/12, and so on).

2.3 Typing

2.4 Spacing and format

The following below are text spacing guidelines:


a) The spacing between the title and the first line of text is one (1)
space.
b) The spacing between paragraphs is one (1) space.
c) The spacing between the last line of a text and a Table, or a Figure
or an Illustration should be one (1) spacing;
d) The spacing between the last line of a text and the title should be
two (2) spacing

3.0 HEADER AND FOOTER

3.1 Header

a) Programme Information

The word RESTRICTED must be written at the top left corner, with
capital letter in Times New Roman font, size 10 pt and bold. While at the
top right corner, Name of Programme should be typed with capitalize each
word in Times New Roman font, size 10 pt and italic.

b) Course Information

The word RESTRICTED must be written at the top left corner, with
capital letter in Times New Roman font, size 10 pt and bold. While at the
top right corner, Course Code and Name of Course should be typed with
capitalize each word in Times New Roman font, size 10 pt and italic.

3.2 Footer

Both curriculum documents used the same footer. The word


RESTRICTED must be written at the bottom right corner, with capital
letter in Times New Roman font, size 10 pt and bold. While at the top
right corner, version document curriculum (refer APPENDIX A) should
be typed with capitalize each word in Times New Roman font, size 10 pt
and italic.

3.3 Image

The following below are dimension of header row for course information
and dimension of polytechnics logo:

4.0 FORMAT OF REFERENCES

References must be written using the American Psychological Association (APA)


system as following below:

Author, A. A. (Year of publication). Title of book. Publisher. (ISBN NO)

Example:

Coronel C, Morris S. and Rob P. (2016). Database System: Design,


Implementation and Management 12th Edition. Cengage Learning. (ISBN
978-1-305-86679-9)

Elmasri R. and Navathe S. (2011). Fundamentals of Database Systems. 6th

5.0 STUDENT LEARNING TIME AND ASSESSMENT

Item 10, Distribution of Student Learning Time (SLT) and item 15, Assessment
Specific Table (AST) in Course Information will be taken from Courses
Assessment Plan (CAP) templet design by UPK.

5.1 Description of Assessment

The percentages of component course assessment are depending on each


course.
