CHECKLIST FOR EXHIBITIONS TRIMESTER 1

What you must bring:


o All interest project work
o Agendas (enough copies for each student, an agenda included in your Power Point between each subject, or a giant-sized
agenda)
o All visual aids for all subjects and interest project
NOTE: IF A STUDENT DOES NOT HAVE A VISUAL AID FOR ANY SUBJECT OF THE EXHIBITION, S/HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
PRESENT THAT SUBJECT AND A REDO EXHIBITION WILL BE REQUIRED.

What you must do for your exhibition:


INTRODUCTION
o Introduce yourself
o Welcome audience
o Pass out and review your agenda
PROJECT WORK: (25%)
o Interest Project
o What was your driving question? (This should be prominent on your visual aid.)
o Why did you choose it?
What did you learn about it?
Visual aids should be focused on this part of the project.

All subjects/information listed below must be presented. NOTE: ALL OF THESE ITEMS MUST HAVE A SEPARATE VISUAL AID. Be
creative! Visual aids must be NEAT and student’s own work!

Math (15%):
o Choose 4 three-digit numbers. Tell whether each number is divisible by 2, 3, 5, 6, 9, and/or 10.
o Explain how you know whether the three-digit numbers are divisible by 2, 3, 5, 9, and/or 10.
o Make a chart like the one on page 14 of your math journal to show your divisibility results.
o Be prepared to tell whether another three-digit number (given by your teacher at your exhibition) is divisible by 2, 3, 5, 6, 9,
and/or 10.

Writing (15%):
o Present your mystery story that you wrote in class.
o Tell which mystery elements/vocabulary you used in your story. Point out those elements. Examples of mystery elements
are: suspects, clues, detective/sleuth/investigator, plot, red herrings/distractions. Other examples are in your mystery
packet.
o Make a large movie poster about your mystery story that shows pictures of some of the mystery elements included in your
story. Your poster should also include the title of your story and the writer’s name (your name).

Reading (15%):
We will be working on parts of this in class starting the week of Nov. 1 in class. Do not start until you have the directions and
template from Mrs. Tiggs! You will probably need to continue to work on it at home if it is not finished in the given class time.

o Present your “Bookface” Character Profile. Be sure that your Bookface Character Profile has:
o Main Character’s name
o The title of the book
o Author’s name,
o At least 5 character traits and an explanation of how the traits were revealed in the book
o The character’s interests
o Current city (or setting)
o Character’s friends’ names
o Your favorite quotes the character said
o What ___is doing (should list at least 5 important events that happened to this character).
o Make up any information not given in the book like: favorite music, TV shows, birthday, and email address

Science (15%) (DO BOTH):


o Present your partner project that you did in class (either the three webs for solids, liquids and gases or the poem about
matter). Discuss what you and your partner included. Talk about how much you contributed to this project.
o Replicate one of the following experiments/demonstrations done in class. Explain what this demonstration/experiment
tells us about matter. These will be signed up for in class. Do not start practicing this until you have approval from Mrs.
Tiggs.
 Putting a solid object into a cup of water and showing the water level change.
 Shining a light into a cup of water.
 Putting food coloring into a cup with hot water and a cup with cold water.
 Put a paper towel into a cup. Turn the cup upside down into a container with water in it.

Social Studies (10%):
